2013 season vs 2018 season

13ODB : 12/14/2018 6:07 pm
2013 team started out very bad as did this 2018 team. 2013 0–6 20018 1–7what’s similar is both years the giants caught huge breaks in the schedule facing bad back up quarterbacks 2013 they beat a Viking team for there first win who started Josh Freeman who was just released by the bucs a few weeks prior to this game. Next game they went into Philly in a game where Foles was inactive Vick started and got hurt in the first quarter and Matt Barkley stepped in giants won the game. Then a raider team with Terrelle Pryor who is now a WR then a Rodger less packer team with Scott Tolzein starting. giants got there record to 4-6 and were still alive for the division and playing Dallas I remember that week very similar to this week everyone talking playoffs and it wasn’t happening then and it’s not happening now. The giants lost that cowboy game but went on to go 7-9 beating a bad Redskin team twice. The only impressive win that season was in Detroit and they knocked them out of the playoffs. Now this season 2018 a 49er team down to a 3rd string QB. A buc team with Ryan Fitzpatrick starting and Winston finishing.  A good Bear team but with Chase Daniel and last week the worst of the bunch Mark Sanchez. Now aside from Barkley and the oline being a little better what have you been impressed with??  I keep hearing how they can build on these wins for next year sorry beating 4 bad back up QBs doesn’t make me feel any better for next year. Now maybe if they go out and win the next 3 games with the titans colts and cowboys full strength I might start to feel that way but I’m not fooled by this even with the defense looking like the 86 giants last week the redskins offense is atrocious with guys off the street all over the oline. I really pray Gettleman and Mara are not fooled by this and will use last week to keep Eli another year. It’s time to move on and draft a QB.
Relax

They were lucky to face all those backups or they would’ve been 3-13
You can say what you want

About the quarterbacks but despite the opposing quarterbacks the offense has shown signs of life running the ball against some defenses that weren’t short handed. Averaging over 30 points a game post bye is an accomplishment for this offense. They haven’t always been consistent but they’ve shown signs of life and coming off the horrible start that’s all you can ask for.
Aside from the Bears,

the Bucks, 49'ers, Eagles and Redskins are not top defenses....funny, the only loss in the last 5 was against a legitimate starting qb...

I agree, the next three games will be more of a test....
Not top defenses

But the eagles and redskins had both been tough vs run earlier in year and primary success was in the run game vs both. Wheels are coming off for both but vs run I don’t think Titans are substantially better, and possibly not Colts. The Cowboys are for sure.
Big difference between the two teams

We had old grizzly vets at the end of their careers who were beating shit teams.

This team has a lot of youth that is getting better each week.
How did that 2013

If we win out and manage to make it in, great, if we don't we don't.
Well

The Giants finish up with 3 playoff contenders in the Titans, Colts, and Cowboys.

They’ll face Marriotta, Luck, and Dak.

Titans and Cowboys have strong defenses.

We’ll see how they do. If they win out there’s no more bullshit excuses.
