It’s bad enough he can’t play for us right now. Obviously it’s killing him not to be out there. But part of me feels like he’s just looking for attention by putting all this out there about the ins and outs of his injury, who said what to whom, etc., all while specifically having been told by the HC no to do exactly that. Worst part is this is cropping up while the team is finally playing well and least needs something like this as a distraction. The timing just sucks, and it’s too bad he can’t instead just zip it and support his guys until he can get back on the field.
Maybe I’m overreacting, but I don’t like the direction this seems to be heading, especially while all most of us probably want to do is cheer these guys on for an improbable wildcard spot.
Odell details his injury and how he felt ‘called out’ by PS/Mara - (

Where did you see this?
he said the owner and coach called him out

Would not be at all surprised to see a trade. Not now. But within the next 2 years.

What a diva flake, and man his albatross contract.
I'm just hoping for a Shockey Effect, where the team improves without him. Chemistry is a weird thing.
He’s hurt. Somehow he’s still selfish?
Is there ever an instance where Beckham isn’t selfish in the eyes of giants fans?
This. It’s obvious at this point.
This thread should be on TMZ, not BBI.

Seconded; this and TTH's.
It's definitely unconscious, because they're Fucking brain dead.
It seems teams are willing to play more man coverage in Beckham s absence, which could be good for Giants.
What s the big deal here?
Interesting possibility there.
It was the last play of the Eagles game, after Shepherd lateraled to him. The Eagle defender who was tackling Shep threw his legs up and kicked Odell in the legs to stop him.
"They wanna burn a bridge, then expect you to send a yacht."
That doesn't sound like a very good response and can only refer to recent comments by management.
I've been a Beckham defender for the most part, but that's just stupid and immature.

Was that recently or earlier at the start of the season?

Can see them getting a first for him & turning the page.
This isn’t a bash Beckham take, just something I could see happening. I don’t necessarily think Gettleman wanted to sign him, I think it was more of a Mara call. I think Mara/DG/PS are growing tired of the drama & will attempt to build a team which features a lot of Barkley in 2019.

Fingers crossed, but I doubt it. He sells a lot of jerseys.

That's pretty fair. What has the guy accomplished in the league except selling some jerseys? Nothing. Horrible receiver and a guy his teammates are always complaining about.
Oh wait...he is an excellent receiver and the only folks distracted by his "antics" are the press and some very sensitive fans.
Here is what I don't understand. The guy plays football, and plays it very well by any measure you use. For the sake of argument let's stipulate he is a self-centered prima donna who posts all his thoughts and feelings on the internet.
Why does anybody care? When you can show me is having a negative impact on the team by doing so, I would care. But short of that, why does anyone care what he is like off the field if he is not committing crimes or hurting people. He is a strange dude. So what?
Sounds about right.

Most of what he posts are just song lyrics
This type of publicity has happened before with him and it will happen again.
He is not changing. Why does it matter. What matters is the Giants becoming winners again. They can do this with or without Beckham. I for one believe it will be without him, but we will see.
In the meantime his behavior has no bearing on whether they win or lose. The question shouldn’t be is he too much of a distraction. The question should be are they better with him or with the assets they can get from trading him.
