PPR I am the top scorer for the year. Week 2 playoffs..
Dynasty league. Have BIG wr issues this week
starters.
ODB - OUT
TY Hilton - Prob Out.
Thielen - Obviously in my lineup
need to choose from these to replace ODB and TY.
Boyd
Dee Dee Westbrook
Robbie Anderson
Golladay
so far I have Boyd who I think is the best of the bunch and its a crap shoot for the others (right now Dee Dee is in)
.... Kick in the nuts - I have Mike Williams with 36 points on my bench...ugghhhhh!
thanks for any insight!
Having similar issues though - Ware, OBJ, Gordon, Reed all our for me this week lol. Had a few questions of my own.
1) Goff vs PHI or Cam vs NO (leaning Goff)
2) Jacksonville defense vs WAS or Seattle defense vs SF
3) Ozumah vs OAK or Vernon Davis vs JAX
4) Henry @NYG, Breida vs Seattle, or Galloday vs BUF
David Njoku - Hasn't looked fully healthy and has been in a bit of a cold spell since facing the Steelers in week 8. Prior to that, he was a Top 10 scoring TE in fantasy. Broncos have allowed a ton of yards to TEs in recent games, so this could be a nice bounce back situation.
Anthony Firkser - I just picked him off waivers. Decent success in a limited role, with 3+ receptions in 4 straight games and 40+ yards in 3 of them. Plus with Jonnu Smith being placed on IR, Firkser should see an uptick in targets.

Oof that’s a tough one. I think Njoku given his upside which is what I think you go for with tight ends given that most of them are interchangeable after the big guys. He’s still getting a decent amount of targets too.
No way on Foles. The Eagles O hasn't been good this year. Too risky. Dak or Lamar would be the call. Indy has been playing well so I would probably go with Jackson because he can rush for a lot and Tampa's D sucks.
Marlon Mack vs Dallas
Jeff Wilson Jr vs Seattle
Doug Martin vs Bengals
Elijah McGuire vs Texans
Josh Reynolds vs Eagles
Curtis Samuel vs Saints
Wish I picked up and flexed Mike Williams..
I think you have to go Boyd but that 3rd spot is real tough.
I did originally like Westbrook this week (had him in). I mean he gets the most targets and the Redskins are pretty bad....but he's also not had a single back to back double digit game this season, he's got Kessler throwing to him, and the Jags are going to pound Fournette all game. Not sure on him now.
Marlon Mack vs Dallas
Jeff Wilson Jr vs Seattle
Doug Martin vs Bengals
Elijah McGuire vs Texans
Josh Reynolds vs Eagles
Curtis Samuel vs Saints
Wish I picked up and flexed Mike Williams..
If Breida is out, I'd go Wilson Jr. He just dropped 15+ on them. I like Martin over Mcguire. And I'm going to play Samuels this week. I talked myself into it being a favorable matchup but truthfully, I have no other choice.

I won't know if Breida is out until 4 pm and Doug plays at 1pm Both my WRs play after Wilson though. I could wait and see if Breida's out and if he's not out start Reynolds or Samuel?
Chubb vs Denver
Lindsay vs Browns
Unfortunately this league has no flex, or I'd be playing both
In my other league, which flex:
If Ty Hilton doesn't play:
S. Shepard
Marlon Mack vs Dallas
Thanks.

This is probably where dual advice would be helpful if someone else wants to give their opinion on that?
I just know for Mack... Dallas hasn't allowed a RB above like 12 points in a while. Yet of course hes the most talented there too. And Bengals are ranked 31st against the run...
imo it wouldn't be the end of the world if Breida ends up playing and you have to play Samuels. He has 3 straight double digit games. But his ceiling is limited too.
I'd be a bad person to get a definitive answer from
Wilson
Dixon
Golladay
Problem with Wilson is breida may play and that's a 4 pm game tomorrow, McGuire goes tonight.
If I even make it past this round golladay is going to be a forced starter next week with Keenan allen out.
Boyd is still a dangerous play because of the lack of A.J. Green in the lineup and the reduced effectiveness of the passing game of Driskel, but it is a good matchup against Oakland at home. You can't play Robbie Anderson because he plays tonight and you have to give yourself a chance at T.Y. playing at 1:00 tomorrow. I'd almost rather you pick up Chester Rogers if he's available if T.Y. can't go rather than play any of the other candidates you have. I'm assuming DaeSean Hamilton isn't available?
Chubb vs Denver
Lindsay vs Browns
Unfortunately this league has no flex, or I'd be playing both
In my other league, which flex:

S. Shepard

Thanks.
I think I'd trust Lindsay more at home.
If Hilton doesn't play, I wouldn't touch Mack vs Dallas with a 10-foot-pole. Dallas' defense is just playing so well right now. Sterling Shepard.
I could play Jaylen Samuels at TE
The reason I say this is because if I win my semifinal match this week, I'm in position to make a mutually beneficial offer to the team that I expect will lose their semifinal match (so he will be competing for 3rd prize against the team that hopefully loses to me this weekend). His QB is Jameis Winston and his receivers are Tyreek Hill, Hopkins, Keenan Allen, Cooper, and Edelman. My QBs are Roethlisberger, Brees, and Mayfield, but I'm weak at WR (especially with OBJ hurt). I could offer him Brees or Roethlisberger (depending on who I plan to start) for Cooper and Edelman (assuming Keenan Allen returns to health). I'm also much deeper at RB than he is (I have Gurley, Lindsay, Cohen, and Damien Williams), so I could offer up one of my RBs as well.
Between the two of us, I would have a killer line up for the finals and he would have a killer lineup for the consolation match (in a league that offers money for 3rd place). If the League Manager tells me it's uncool despite it being allowable, I won't do it. Otherwise....
I do have Curtis Samuels, but he's 3rd behind Hilton and Landry IMO.
Just the way h2h fantasy football goes. 1st place, top points in the league and my opponent loses Melvin Gordon and Beckham.
So he adds Damien and inserts Mike Williams into his lineup and I have awful matchups and am now likely to lose.
c'est la vie.
Right now I'm looking at my 3 WR's and Flex as Baldwin, Corey Davis, Samuels, and Westbrook (LOL)....which I know is risky af but they all at least have some decent upside with their matchups. Just torn on if I should use Kenneth Dixon...he seems to be trending towards an increased role and was already being used as the goalline back. Well really torn on the entire thing and what combo of 4 to play in those slots...
I was fine with Njuku until OBJ was ruled out.
Anyway meant to mention this...I did the most boss thing in my league. Following Week 10, I was 5-5 and had lost 4 of my prior 5 games (started 3-1 to > 1-4). I made a trade which I know if I asked anyone on here (or anywhere for that matter) that I'm pretty certain they would have told me not to do it. I traded my only consistent WR, DeAndre Hopkins.
I traded Hopkins, Doyle, and the BIlls D For Corey Davis, George Kittle, and the Bears D....went down right before our set trade deadline.
I won 5 straight to get to 10-5. Took the first round (with the help of a combined 52 points from Kittle and Bears D) and now I face the #1 seed. Winner will face the kid I traded with, who was busting my balls for doing i... so if I happen to get there and beat him...genius
Ridley or C. Davis - leaning towards Ridley
RB: Was stacked at RB throughout season. Then lost Hunt, then Ware, got a game out of Ekeler. RB's starting are: McCaffrey, A. Jones and an option of Gus Edwards or Chris Ivory at Flex. I'm leaning towards Edwards over Ivory
TE: Ian Thomas or Engram....had Thomas in, but will probably swap in Engram now that Beckham is out.
QB: Cousins or Luck - I believe Cousins rebounds, so I have him starting
D/ST: Broncos or Bills? I have no idea which, I may flip a coin....
Any and all advice is much appreciated!!!!

Lindsay and Shep if TY out

The trouble with TY is that it's a new injury compounding his other injuries....He still put up 199 last game... THat's a tough spot, I'd move TY to your FLX if you have one and start Landry in the WR slot, then decide plan B if TY is out
I could play Jaylen Samuels at TE
I have the same choice as you do. Right now I am going Samuels. If Connors plays for the Steelers, I might switch to Ertz. He should be a security blanket for Foles.

I can't put TY in my flex. I'm loaded t RB. I'm starting Barkley and McCaffrey and Dalvin Cook @Flex.
TY is one of my WR's and it's either TY, Landry, or Samuels.
Landry I'd obviously need to add to the lineup tonight.
I'd like to bench Mike Evans for Landry, but I don't have the balls for that. It's not a PPR league and Landry is too inconsistent, as is Evans but Evans will get targets.
I could play Jaylen Samuels at TE
Still love Ertz. Plug and play, Foles can still distribute as he showed last year. Also like the matchup against the Rams in Cali. Should be a lot of passing.
I don't think Samuels is a particularly strong play at all, more of a desperation flex. His returns have been solid, but I think the hype around him has exceeded his true value and utility. That said, with all the injuries and the New England matchup, you could do worse as a flex or desperation TE play.
The reason I say this is because if I win my semifinal match this week, I'm in position to make a mutually beneficial offer to the team that I expect will lose their semifinal match (so he will be competing for 3rd prize against the team that hopefully loses to me this weekend). I blame your commish for not having a trade deadline. You would be operating within the rules your commish has set up, but yes, you will definitely ruffle feathers but this time you wouldn't really be the one to blame.
I was fine with Njuku until OBJ was ruled out.
Honestly, I don't let stats like this dictate every decision I make with fantasy, but Tennessee allows the absolute fewest fantasy points to TE of any team. They have not allowed 1 TD to a TE all season, and just 50 catches for 467 yards in 13 games. That's a lot of games, and not a lot of production.
On the other hand, Denver has given up the 3rd most to TEs, 65 catches, 977 yards, and 6 TDs.
It's a huge gap. I would play Njoku, but I'm still not feeling swell about it. Cross fingers and toes.

This is what I would do...take a chance on Hilton playing. If he doesn't, just play Curtis Samuel. They have New Orleans in Carolina, there's a good bet Cam is going to need to chuck it around, and Samuel has been a key player in their offense as of late. Anyway, I think it's arguable that Landry is ahead of Samuel going by the last 4 weeks, and if he is, it's still close. Take a chance on T.Y. playing, and don't feel too bad about that Samuel play, it's not a terrible play and he can easily outproduce Landry this week. Landry is on the road in Denver, Samuel at home in what should be a high-scoring affair. Good luck.

Thanks ASJ, this is my plan.
I'm hopeful Monday night is still relevant, my opponent has Brees, Ian Thomas, and DJ Moore.
I have McCaffrey and possibly Samuels.
Hopefully I can overcome the spanking Damien and Mike Williams unleashed on me Thursday.

What difference does it make? Anyone benching the best or second best TE in football in the FF playoffs no less all because of some ridiculous wacky matchup thinking deserves to lose.

the starting RB for the Pittsburgh Steelers (who has TE eligibility in Yahoo) is hardly a "ridiculous wacky matchup".
