Here’s what’s funny about this though. Earlier in the season when the Giants were struggling, Barkley would have a very good game but the Giants would lose. So what was the QB crowd saying? “See, that’s why RBs don’t matter. They can have great games and still lose. They aren’t important”. Yet, when Darnold has a good game but the Jets continue to lose, they say “the Jets suck, they have no talent. It’s not Darnolds fault, the team around him sucks”.
Barkley is supposed to carry the entire team on his shoulders in his first season otherwise he’s a bad pick while Darnold gets to say that the team around him sucks. Yet, exactly which one of these teams was 3-13 last season? Hint....it wasn’t the Jets.

It's hilarious. Where were you a couple months ago when he was on pace to throw 40 interceptions and Jets fans wanted to sit him? You are also rewriting history since the USC teams he lead had talent. Darnold's college career is a mixed bag where his ability never matched his results and he was turnover prone which has followed him to the NFL. Now all of a sudden he is a future HOFer and great player cause he had one good game? That is Sam Darnold. He was a roller coaster player at USC and will likely continue to be in the NFL. Ups and downs. Is Carson Palmer a HOFer? Cause that is what Darnold is IF everything works out and it usually doesn't. Palmer made 3 pro bowls but an up and down player who turned the ball over a lot but also threw for a lot of TDs.
The NY media will overhype just like they did with him early in the season. Then they disappeared when he was awful. Now after this week they will proclaim him a HOFer and Joe Namath. Cause that is the way fans and the media are.

Who is actually seething over Darnold? I do see a few posters who continually try to act as if Darnold has played well this year, and not surprisingly, they are the same posters who wanted the Giants to take a QB.
Darnold might turn into a very good QB, but it is funny that we keep being told there are several glimpse a game of his "potential", when he's made more negative plays than positive ones.

when he has yet to even show he's average. Just because he was good at USC means nothing, every player in the NFL was the best at their college. Most college QB's can't cut it. Its also annoying when these same BBI'ers, after cutting Darnold slack on everything, blast Eli for every little thing (even though he's accomplished more than Darnold could ever dream of). Hell if Eli completes a pass, people here rewind the play and see if Eli should have thrown to a better option.
