I remember it like it was yesterday. Thanks Tom, Eli, Plax, David, Justin, Osi, Jay, and of course all the others who played GIANTS football that day (and that whole season).
The soundtrack editing was perfectly timed to accent the catches, the hits,... the scores.
At the end when that family is all gathered around the TV watching that play (which must have been Burress catching the pass in the corner of the end zone) .. and they end up on the roof (through the ceiling) and the sound recording distorts from to much signal .... I still get chills.
I still can't believe that the Giants won. I watch that play and every time I am still nervous watching Eli trying to escape and throw the ball to Tyree - even though I have known the outcome for 10 years! I cab't believe it has been that long - 10 years?!!!!
One of the best sporting moments of my life .... hang on (recount) - Correction! The best sporting moment of my life.

Best video ever on youtube.
And SB XLVI was not that far behind. We’ve been blessed

We have been BigBlue ... But, (call me selfish) I can't help thinking there should have been 1 more in there (if PB doesn't shoot himself in the leg).
when the Giants shocked the world ... Peter Vecshi (I don't know how to spell his last name)
referred to Eli as the .... "Awe Shucks Assassin". Love that name to this day ....
There were a handful of moments from the Yankees and Knicks from
the 90’s and early 00’s that were incredible (Tino/Brosius 2001 WS, Houston’s floater vs Miami and LJ’s 4 PT play during the 99 run), but nothing can top the 07 playoff run. 3 straight heart attack games vs Dallas, GB and the undefeated Patriots. Wow. It can’t get better than that.
That was great, I still get goosebumps. A couple of observations
* Is the video quality that much better today than just 10 years ago? I feel like i can reach into my TV today but that was so pixelated (?) it was almost hard to watch
* That 3-11 Steve Smith play is lost to the Tyree catch but that play was HUGE
* Whoever did that did a great job with the music, etc
* a great reminder of why Eli and pretty much every member of that team should never reach into their pocket to by a drink in NY/NJ for the rest of their lives. That year was some magical stuff.

It’s obviously clearer when I view it in my iPad, then on my TV

One truly magical year can last and will last a lifetime, but TWO (SB XLVI)? It defies credulity.
assignment for my synagogue, stuffing envelopes for fund raising efforts, and to cut the boredom of the work I rewatched the entire SB 42 game on YouTube, just a regular broadcast version, Aikman and Buck. Two things struck me: one was that the Giant's were the better team, pretty much throughout the game, and Aikman and Buck really struggled to acknowledge that. The Giants' SHOULD HAVE WON that game, they outplayed the Pats pretty much start to finish. The Pats OL couldn't handle the Giants' rotating DL, especially Tuck and Osi but also Cofield, Robbins, Strahan and Alford, and throw in Kawika Mitchell who had his best game as a pro. The Giants were more talented on the DL than NE was on their OL, point blank.
Flip it around, and the Giants' OL was a good match for the Pats' front 7 too, by and large their ground game clicked and Eli had time to pass too most of the game.
That game was clearly won in the trenches. As was the great roll in 2008, and that was the last year the Giants were a truly dominant team in the trenches until today.
I remember listening to gman in Miami streaming his show Â
On Saturday night before the game and feeling so calm.. my wife was cheering for Eli like he was her own son and yelling throw it to Toomer... Toomer was a goat.... my favorite Eli game was 2012 NFC championship game. He made it to the hall of fame by beating the unbeatable 49ers at the stick. Thank you Eli and thank you Giants

BlueLou...I have seen interviews in the past from Patriots like Teddy Bruschi saying the same thing. They acknowledged that they were outplayed by the Giants.

That video never gets old, nor does Fitzy's We Blew Super Bowl 42 Webcast.
I was thinking particularly about the thread I created on BBI about my adventure about going to that Super Bowl. It was one of, if not the best weekends of my life. Does anyone know if that thread is still archived here. Doesn't really matter in the end. The memories are still very strong.

Just a monumental historic moment in time.

The food and wine connoisseur? Welcome back Lou.
Those last two long throws by Brady were, arguably, the two best consecutive throws I’ve ever seen
