QB Kyle Lauletta, WR Odell Beckham, C Evan Brown, TE Garrett Dickerson, DT John Jenkins, CB Tony Lippett and S Kamrin Moore inactive for Week 15 against the Titans.
If there’s a blowout (either way), he could have gotten even more live action
No. There was media speculation this week that this move might be made because (1) how badly Lauletta performed, and (2) the playoffs still being a possibility.
I think Lauletta has likely disappointed Shurmur Â
I'm really curious about this kid for next year. He has been on the active roster all season but has pulled a true red shirt. I know he impressed in camp with his quickness and punch.

After last week the only way a backup gets in is if Eli gets hurt. if this is the case, and its not just mop up mode, then Tanney is likely a better fit

I like Brown a lot and I expect him to be active starting next week. He could see playing time in week 17. He did need a year to get stronger but I think the Giants like his upside.
Lauletta is hilarious. The dude is terrible. He got arrested. He's obviously not showing anything in practice. And the coaches clearly don't have a high opinion of him.
Any other position, this guy wouldn't even be mentioned.
I’m not as down on Pulley as most here and I wasn’t as down on Halepio as most here. I have no idea about the severity of his injury. I would like to see if Evan Brown can get some playing time during the season just to get a sense for our team needs in the draft. Most here have projected center as a high need but I think you rarely find a starting center in the draft from day 1, generally not a good center. Or, they want to give Pulley enough time to see if he can sync with Hernandez and hopefully Brown going forward.
It could be PS figures Tanney gives Giants best chance of winning Â
ready, he shouldn’t have even stepped on the field last week. Even a few minutes of atrocious football should not a decision make.
BB'56, you of all people should know that football players often perform differently on the playing field than they do in practice.
Lauletta probably was improving in practice. But he was such a train wreck last week that many saw this move coming. If the Giants were officially dead, perhaps they don't make this move. But Eli sprains his knee in a tie game today, Shurmur is trying to win the game.

isn't ready. We saw that last week. He couldn't do anything against a depleted Redskins defense in garbage time. But it's just one week. I don't think he's Eli's long term successor, but no conclusion can be made based on one week. He's still a rookie fourth round pick. The question is whether the Giants will play him again this year once we're mathematically eliminated.

If he can’t beat out Tenney due to the games mattering, I think that alone is a big enough statement lol
he showed less than nothing last week. There is no reason to keep him active. He is superfluous at this point and the constant comment about him and his role is hard to understand. In all likelihood, his career will resemble Webb's.

Could be. Shurmur made a snide remark about Lauletta in his post game media conference.

Playing him at this point doesn't help self-scout and doesn't help win in the event Manning gets hurt.
Lualetta looked just about as unready to play NFL football as Webb did in the pre-season.
No there can only be sinister implications.
Any other position, this guy wouldn't even be mentioned.
Wonder whos the bench qb in the 3rd or 4th rd pick next draft?

I’m accused of being one of the biggest Kool-aiders on this board, but technical contention or not, they are not making the playoffs

Assuming that's true, the coach still has to put his best team on the field if he wants his players to take him seriously.
