Unless he's magically 100% like AP or Wes Welker not long ago, the only reason to bring him in this season is to ease him into live action the last 10-15 games, if anything
THJ might be among the worst decision makers on the team. Started this game w/ 2 straight jumps in the air with nowhere to go leading to TOs. Half the time his game looks much like the Jr Knicks kids playing at half - like they're out there by themselves, no passing, no vision, just dribbling with their heads down until they throw up a shot. Amazing for the son of a former player
I don't get why he gets burn no matter how poor he shows. He needs to be treated like a streak shooter. If he makes a few let him shoot. If not, he better do something else, not just take shit shots when others are on (like EM & KK last game). And he needs to take the ball inside. Fiz doesn't hold him all that accountable for some reason, considering all the DNP-CDs he gives everyone else - especially as it's worked for them
THJ and Kanter are getting so many min are for trade value purposes. Otherwise makes NO sense. They are stat ladders not team players and certainly not winners. They are not helping to develop anyone either.
Not much to comment on in this game in my opinion.
The Knicks played them tough until the end but nothing really stood out to me. Although, I do wish Fiz wasn't so whiny. In my experience refs always unconsciously favor the team that isn't whining.
They also mentioned a stat about the Knicks being one of the slowest paced teams in the league. The selling point in preseason was how well conditioned the Knicks were and how they were going to out run everybody. What happened to all that? I guess it doesn't really matter as long as the young players continue to develop.
Averaging double figures for the season, and rising quickly. Needs to break out of his funk at the free throw line and he'll be scoring 20 regularly. Fiz is giving him a lot of playing time too, which is great.
But for a 19 year old kid his offensive game is pretty polished, if he hits the 3 at a consistent rate he will really be able to drive more. He is good withthe floater in the lane..
Obviously has to get stronger, id like him to work on post up game this offseason..

A note on Trey Burke: of 43 players w/ > 25 USG, his 50.3 TS% ranks 39th.
He's a rhythm player. A developing team can't afford to let him dominate the offense to get into that rhythm.
