Once Odell was pronounced out the point spread went from NYG -2.5 to Tennessee now favored by 1.5, I’m not sure if people here pay attention to that sort of stuff but the oddsmakers are normally right so I didn’t have a good feeling about this game I didn’t expect a shut out smfh
Not having OBJ really hurt the Giants, Sheppard was disappointing in this game didn’t really step up with Odell out. It was nice to see Engram catch a few balls that guy definitely has a skill set
Add in a gimmie TD off of a first down following a flagrant bad facemask call, and a mugging of a PI that was not called....and the rest is just people trying to overcome a losing hand.
The "perception" was that the betting public believed the Giants were better than what they were based on the last couple of games. That is how the line gets made.
There were not many people anywhere on TV/Radio/Online picking Tennessee to win. Once the line shifted 4 points (which usually only happens when a QB goes down) in the other direction, the sharp money came in so hard on Tennessee.
The Titans prior to yesterday’s game have been terrible on the road, Giants -3 was standard and appropriate with OBJ
