honest question...

peteschweaty : 12/17/2018 9:15 am
watched most of the pats steelers game last night. the pats offensive line has 2 undrafted guys, a 7th rounder, a 5th rounder and a 4th rounder. yet they were creating holes for their rbs and giving brady alot of time for the most part.

do you think it's just coaching or talent evaluation?

cause whatever it is, we ain't got it. seemed barkley was getting hit by 3 guys behind the line yesterday on most plays.
It's both

and mindset.

So since they only scored 10 points....
dep026 : 12/17/2018 9:23 am : link
does that mean Brady is done too?
Did..
FatMan in Charlotte : 12/17/2018 9:23 am : link
you really watch the game?

They scored 10 points and had less than 100 yards rushing.

Is it just me or were trolls harder working in past years?
The line we had that is honored around here

was Diehl at LT (5th rounder), Seubert (UDFA), O'Hara (FA acquisition but I also believe he initially was a UDFA), Snee (2nd round) and Kareem McKenzie (originally a 3rd rounder but brought over as a FA). So, what does that tell you.

Normally, unless you get lucky and hit it big like Dallas with 3 first rounders, a UDFA who should have been a first rounder good offensive lines are usually not made up of high draft picks.

The Suburbanites save for Karl Nelson were not high draft picks and the late 80's/early 90's line had Jumbo (2nd rounder), Roberts (former 1st rounder at LT but never made it there then they moved him to guard and it took five years before he got into the starting lineup), Oates at center (FA from USFL), Moore at RG (1st rounder at LT but did not make it there) Kratch at RG (3rd rounder) and Risenberg at RT (6th round).

not a troll been a giant fan for 40 yrs oh and the pats haven't been doing it this way for over a decade? last night not their best performance but still great on offense for yrs. i'll stick with what i said, asking an honest question.
What's..
FatMan in Charlotte : 12/17/2018 9:33 am : link
the difference between an honest question and a dishonest one?

The Pats really haven't had a solid running game in a long time, but fuck - if you've been watching for 40 years, who can argue.

jeez...ok, happy holidays.
Giants were out coached and outplayed
NikkiMac : 12/17/2018 9:40 am : link
I the cold rain and no giants wanted a piece of Henry in the open field whereas Vrabel put his players through a full scrimmage out in the conditions just two days earlier .........

Look at our O-Line in Super Bowl 42:

Diehl - Fifth Rounder
Seubert - Undrafted
O'Hara - Undrafted
Snee - Second Rounder
McKenzie - Third Rounder

He supposedly watched a game last night in which the Pats scored 10 points and had under 100 yards rushing, and his "opinion" was:"watched most of the pats steelers game last night. the pats offensive line has 2 undrafted guys, a 7th rounder, a 5th rounder and a 4th rounder. yet they were creating holes for their rbs and giving brady alot of time for the most part." They averaged under 4 YPC, yet all these "holes" existed??

The guys has a handle of a shitty SNL character and keeps creating threads that are garbage.

Add this gem in and it isn't an opinion that makes one a troll - just a really shitty posting history does.
one of the main reasons Barkley was stopped yesterday
upstatenyg : 12/17/2018 12:50 pm : link
was no obj on the field.

the WR threat was limited due to wet conditions and a sloppy field, which was used on Saturday night for Jets game also.

The game plan wasn't rocket science, in dry conditions with OBJ this game may have been different.

The o line is not great, but not the reason they lost

Fat Man...I am a Giant fan...I have no idea why what I posted makes me a troll...I am simply wondering why the pats take low drafted o linemen and are effective with them why we aren't. and if you think pete schweaty is a shitty snl character...you're nuts. lol. Cheer up bro!
Dante Scarnecchia
geepeegee : 12/17/2018 2:26 pm : link
"Scar" is the Pats oline coach and (I believe) is the one member of the coaching staff who has been there longer than Little Bill. He is 70 now and people in the Boston area widely regard him as a key components to the success of the franchise given his ability to take whoever he is given and make them effective. The couple of years that Dave DeGuglielmo were mixed. They did win the title vs the Seahawks, but the next year the oline was much worse. The following year Scar returned from retirement and, boom, the oline was much better.

Even with OBJ the weather dictated a ground oriented offense IMHO. The more you can run the more you can pass; the more you can pass the more you can run. Trouble was I think the weather made the passing very difficult so we had to get the tough yards and they were teed up for Saquon.
The offesive line problems are due to talent
Frank from CA : 12/17/2018 4:03 pm : link
which is to say the Front Office cannot professionally judge prospects and decide who is able to grow as a player and perform adequately. Its not easy, but, it can be done by professional scouts and supervising evaluators.
Barkley was stuffed because the Titans
micky : 12/17/2018 4:03 pm : link
(And likely the game plan for rest of league vs giants in this situation) stacked everyone up close to los knowing OBJ (only legit threat) was out and didnt fear the receivers nor manning beating them.Especially, moreso with the weather

Barkley, also with POS Ol, wasnt going anywhere yesterday..even the "touch of god" would've spent the day in Hell kissing the devils ass in that situation

The Redskins did the same thing the week before, didn't they? The difference is the Giants' OL was abused yesterday. Especially Wheeler.
Didn't this same Tennessee Team
