So for a change luck shined on me last night and I am on to the finals.

I had a decent lead going in (18 points) and I had McCaffrey, but my opponent had Brees, I. Thomas, and DJ Moore, so I definitely didn't have anything decided.

Some decisions for this week, biggest one to impact us both is status of James Conner. He has Samuels, I have Conner. I don't need Conner, but I don't want him to have Samuels.

this is my big $$$ league, so even 2nd place pays for all my leagues. which is nice.

basically I owe this victory to Dalvin Cook and McCaffrey.
Congratulations on making the finals

I lost a close one. All my starters laid an egg

Hilton, JuJu, Barkley, Miller, Ingram. Oh well. Battle for third place is on now I guess, at least I can win back my buy in.

Can start thinking of picking my keeper for next year now. Probably b/w Mack or Golladay for 7th and 8th round picks. Congrats to those of you who made the finals.
Can't get luckier than I did...
moze1021 : 12/18/2018 9:35 am : link
I had Mahomes, Barkley, Thielen, Ebron all bust on me..

Up only 19.9 pts and opponent had Brees, Will Lutz, and Curtis Samuel (not a flashy name but has averaged 14 ppg in ppr leagues over last 4 weeks)...

Yahoo gave me a ~5% chance of winning..

Won by 2.5...
Congratulations...

I did my usual playoff swan dive. I have the highest point total and the most wins, but each year it's the same story. Got nothing from: Cam Newton, Gronk, Thielen, Antonio Brown, Josh Gordon... Kamara was the only decent play in my lowest point total of the season.

Now playing for 3d place... yeah!
Going for total points

which is 30% of prize pool. I am up 24 going into the last week on one guys. 37 on 3rd place and 50 on 4th place. Should get at least 2nd.

Here is the matchup for most Points.

QB: Ben vs. Ryan
RB: Barkley vs. McCaffrey
RB: D. Williams (or Mcquire) vs. Fournette
WR: Hopkins vs. Julio
WR: Evans vs. Hilton
WR: Cooks vs. Sanu (he will add a guy I am sure)
Flex: Cooper vs. Chubb
K: Butker vs. Elliott
D: Broncos (I may add Titans) vs. Panthers

I am on the left. The guy I am playing could possibly have 5 players in the Falcons vs. Panthers.
Congrats

I made the Super Bowl in two of my five leagues. Sadly, one of them is not a money league. But, I made it in one 12 team .5 pt PPR. Had a chance at the SB in my other .5 pt PPR, but fell one game shy with Amari Cooper, Zeke, Kittle, and Landry letting me down.

Out of 4 money leagues I made playoffs in two, missed the playoffs in one despite having multiple scenarios in the final week in which I would've made it, and was last place in another league, despite having the 4th highest point total in the league. Finished 3-11 in that league, and I only trailed the top point getter by about 20 points. In fact, both the first and second place teams had fewer points than me. Amazingly hard luck year.

But, my focus is on winning my money championship. I've already secured a profit on the fantasy season, and now it's time to bring home some hardware. Looking for a huge game from Zeke at home vs Tampa, and Nick Chubb and Mixon to both perform well in the matchup of Bengals vs Browns. I do have concerns at WR, with Diggs and Davante both on the road against the Lions and the Jets respectively, but we'll see. Good luck to everyone playing in their Super Bowl this week.

I'm going to the finals in both my leagues...
Milton : 12/18/2018 9:40 am : link
...and like you guys, I needed luck on my side because I did not have a good week in either league.

Now I have to pick up a WR from the waiver wire because mine suck, especially if OBJ can't go.

How would you prioritize (in PPR)...

Robbie Anderson
Josh Reynolds
DeSean Hamilton

$200 buy-in with guys from HS. Nice little Xmas bonus.

My core of Barkley, McCaffrey, Mahomes, Matt Ryan just beasted me through the season.

Do we have a winner yet in the BBI league? Want to make sure I pay zat man hiss mahney.

two upsets in the Semi's as Muddy and Kmed went down.

Nargi vs. UConn in the finals. And if you see their starters they are playing - one would wonder how fucking bad everyone in the BBI league really is.
Congrats! I also made my finals in my big $$$ league
Mellowmood92 : 12/18/2018 9:44 am : link
Despite benching BOTH Gus Edwards and Jordan Howard for Jarvis Landry and TY Hilton.

Getting 22 pts. from my kicker was pretty great, but i absolutely destroyed my opponent 139 - 68. His final team was pretty much garbage and he had duds from Thielen and Hill.

Despite drafting David Johnson (1st Rd.) and Jordan Howard (2nd Rd.), my later round picks have turned out to be huge: Pat Mahomes, George Kittle, Julian Edelman - plus a strong WR core of Edelman, Woods, TY Hilton & Jarvis Landry.

My finals opponent has McCaffrey, Alvin Kamara, Cohen, and now Henry so it will be interesting.

It was definitely a weird fantasy week!!

Dalvin Cook's turnaround helped me in my losers bracket semifinal in my other league..but now I'm against him in the league I'm in the 'ship for...

So Dalvin Cook will either help me win 7th place in one league and beat me in the championship in the other, or vice versa

The top 2 teams in BBI will be meeting in week 16

to battle for the meaningless 3rd place trophy. Muddy and KMed were the highest scoring teams by far all year, but put up a meager 100.25 and 99.15 when it counted most. Those scores were 53.35 and 43.74 points under projections and pretty close to that under their season averages!

The finals will feature Margi and UConn. Margi is the early 13 point favorite. Best of luck!

I am feeling good. The average points scored in our league is somewhere between 85-90. Now picking up 24 points is pretty easy as guy have scored up to 120-125.

If Ben can get me 250 and 2 Td with an INT, that would be huge. I am fguring they will need to throw in the dome. Barkley should bounce back. My WRs outside Evans are all playing for byes/playoffs so they should be featured.

If Carolina's defense comes out and plays like they did yesterday should help me a lot. I just dont want his kicker going for 20, his defense going for a pick 6 plus more. Its almost a 1,000 if I win and that will come out for Xmas.

Scored a season high for myself last week thinks to having McCaffrey, DeAndre Hopkins, Chris Carson, Damien Williams, and Atlanta's D/ST. I didn't need anybody else as those 5 players alone beat my opponent by about 28 points (heck Hopkins plus three others on the list would have gotten me the win).

Using the waiver wire to help my depth since this is not a keeper league. Dropping Atlanta's D and rolling with San Diego in favor of Jamaal Williams to give me an option besides Gus Edwards if it turns out that Spencer Ware is back and Damien Williams won't see the touches he had last week. Also dropping Adam Humphries (versus Dallas's secondary he was never going to start and our league ends at Week 16) for Robert Foster as he seems to be making some big plays with Josh Allen in Buffalo. My TE spot is weak due to injuries, but there is nobody that appears to be definitely better on the waiver wire that I can pick up. On D/ST I could pick up Indy who is facing us rather than rolling with San Diego against Baltimore (I can move Austin Ekeler to my IR spot and drop the player I have there if I needed to open a roster spot).

This was a nearly impossible league to improve in once the first quarter of the season was over. WAAAAAY too many experienced owners and no trading. The draft was everything this season.

FAAB (which I hate) also makes it harder to get better. I simply dont have the time for a FAAB league and much prefer waiver priority dictating things.

But this happens every year. My team in my big money league was a juggernaut and lost lastnight. So many top players falter towards the end of the season, its really about having the ability to add good backups late in the season.

I think we should get rid of FAAB. While the idea is nice... it reuqires a lot of time and for a 25 dollar league... I dont think its appropriate.

Rotating waivers is the thing to do.

Rotating waivers sucks. How much more time does FAAB take? It takes like 2 extra seconds when putting in a claim to put a $ amount in.

it takes a lot more time, it isnt simply just clicking a button. It takes more time to research bids, look through other teams to see what youd think they would bid, manage your budget all year long, etc. To Deps point, for $25 its just a nuisance to have to worry about it.
Rotating waivers sucks
pjcas18 : 12/18/2018 10:53 am : link
because it's just random, especially in the early weeks of the season when the unknown players come out of nowhere and light shit up. Like James Conner or Damien Williams. Conner was drafted in many leagues, but he was also available in a lot. Breida too or George Kittle.

With FAAB people make their own beds, they have access to every player, just like everyone else, but if you want to overpay for Josh Adams that's on you.

the fact it's only $25 doesn't make me spend less time on FAAB waivers, it just makes me care less if I lose or might even make me over-draft Giants b/c I enjoy watching them do well while my fantasy football team does too.
In the finals in one league

To each their own. If this were a 200 dollar league, I would be all for FAAB.

Thats why I like my league. 7 free moves. After that, you pay the piper of 20 dollars. No waivers. First come, first serve. You want to make 30 moves - then its going to cost you.

Most of the year, there are plenty of teams that have money to make bids so no idea why you would worry about what other teams are bidding. Bid what you think is a fair amount, if you really want the player then bid more.

I'm in tons of FAAB leagues, and 2 weeks ago was literally the first time I needed to look at other team's budgets before setting my bid for key FAs.

two changes I'd like to see in the BBI league though are to make D = D/ST too. I don't know why we'd only have the D gets points for Defensive scores and not special teams too.

I'd be fine going to a 2nd flex, but not with losing a starting spot. Shorter starting rosters punish good owners who have built depth, not what I want as a FF owner.

Lol Jeremy....I didn't think you had a PRAYER this week going in to last night. It thought NO would score 30-40 and Carolina would be throwing it all over the park in an attempt to keep pace or catch up. You were rolling until that 3 game skid into the playoffs, and now you're poised for your first championship. I don't know how you're going to cope with picking 11th or 12th in the rookie draft, lol!

Made the semis in both my leagues
Leg of Theismann : 12/18/2018 6:08 pm : link
In league #1 I got blown out by 60 points, and in league #2 I won by 50 points. LOL

Luckily in league #1 I won the $75 for most points in the regular season and $20 for the 2nd highest single-week point total. Still have a chance to win 3rd place and an additional $50 in that one (was a $50 buy-in).

In league #2 I'll be playing for $175 1st place this weekend, 2nd place will be $75. The good thing about winning the semis here was that there is no 3rd place payout in this league so I would have made $0 if I had lost (was a $40 buy-in).

So all in all, including the buy-ins, I've already netted at least +$80 between the 2 leagues, and can increase that up to +$230 if I win in both leagues this weekend. Not a ton of dough obviously but I more play for bragging rights with my buddies haha.

I am in the finals in one of my leagues...

it is a standard league and it is a two week combined total to determine the champion.

Fournette - has sucked and he may not play. I also have Carlos Hyde stashed but he probably will not even dress.

Ingram - He may end up getting into my lineup

Sony Michel - He has sucked lately and cannot be trusted in this New England offense.

Jaylen Samuels - Great if Conner sits this week otherwise he has to sit

Ware & Damien Williams - I have both of them. I really hope ware is out for the week. If he is, that would be great. If not, I dont know what to do here with these two.
Rams signed C.J. Anderson

which is the lowest score in the 10 year history of our playoffs to win a game. Went in to last nights game 8 points ahead with my opponent having Cam Newton and the TE Thomas. Somehow they only scored 6. Only found out I got through this morning when I received a congratulations text from one of the other teams in the league.
