I know Cam Newton is injured and cant throw accurately right now but I thought El Apple looked pretty good the other night. I didnt like the pick at the time because I had my mind on others and I never really thought we were considering him.
With all that said the Giants gave up on this kid pretty quick when you consider the guy was a top 10 pick and they got whats going to be a late 4th for him after what was essentially 2 seasons of work
Well dont look now but New Orleans is playing some of the best D in the league the last 5 or 6 weeks and Apple is a starter for them as they head to the playoffs
It remains to be seen who got the better of that trade
He's a bad fit here.
He wasnt performing but only 2 seasons of work to go on for a guy we picked in the top 10
But he played well in one Primetime game. There's football each week, Fella.

Against a QB who historically has been one of the least accurate of his era.
Would we have won more than 5 games keeping Apple and Snacks?
Basically the new regime is weeding out the shitty decisions from the previous one.
Does this really need to be spelled out for you, because I have an uneasy feeling that it really does.
That's on Apple.
We've mentioned it before, but when we laughed at the scout's take that "he can't cook for himself" and we joked he can afford a chef, the real story was he was immature. That his mother decided she wanted to be a celebrity also didn't help. He had tons of family issues last year, between a public divorce with his mother and her health, but the reality is that he isn't showing any signs of growing up soon. New Orleans was the perfect spot for him because that offense will bail out the bad defense more often than not, and he's playing with a bunch of his old Ohio State teammates, which seems to be where he wants to be as he still acts like a college kid.
Apple was not going to work out in NY, he had to go, and at least Gettleman was able to get picks to help in this rebuild.

Youre going by the assumption the Giants are making the right choices in this matter .. I just stated the facts we traded a guy who 2 seasons prior we picked in the top 10
I never once said the Giants wouldve won more games with Snacks and Apple so I dont where youre coming from with that
Also your tough guy Im smarter than you act is laughable

I think what he means is, whiffing on high first rounders is a good indicator of a bad team. Not because we got rid of the great Eli fucking Apple for a mid round pick. Because under JR we drafted poorly for years.
Apple in particular was almost let go the year before mid-season!
I'm sorry that there's a "tough-guy I'm smarter than you act here". Just seems a lot better than a "I have fucking shit for brains" act

I think you extrapolated something from his post that he didn't say or even imply. The point of his post was that a team drafting players in the top ten that get traded for pennies on the dollar 2 years later is at least partially to blame for where the Giants are at right now. It's a fair comment. He's not saying the trades weren't justified, and he's not saying the Giants would be better off if the trades didn't happen. Maybe grab a cup of coffee and lay off the guy.
It's unfortunate the prior regime wasted a pair of top 10 picks, but blame and the bottom line belong to the players who failed to deliver.

Ok have the last laugh. Im not here to go back and forth with you or trade insults I just want to talk Giants football ✌🏼✌🏼🍻
Yeah that hurts 2 players picked top 10 and nothing to show for it
So it was good for both parties that he left. I hope he does well in NO and redeems himself. He's around a lot of Buckeyes which may help ground him more...
I've seen him a few times and it's been more of the same - some very good, some very poor...
