Its a 3 year deal with a player option. Not sure on money. But could be a great deal for M's if the money is reasonable. Not a lot of interest in him compared to Ohtani last year or Tanaka a few years back.
I have to give credit on the structure of the deal . I don’t know that it’s ever been done before. Four-year deal $48m the player has an opt out after year three..If you opt out the team has the right to opt in on a four -year $60 million contract ( not 100% sure on the 60 million but it’s close )

Could be but wasn’t there a report awhile back that Harper had told friends he doesn’t want to live in Philly? At any rate, money talks so I’m not suggesting those reports mean much but after commenting that they plan to spend “stupid” money this offseason, it’s going to be pretty embarrassing for them if they come out of this with a few middle tier guys after practically begging seemingly every single big fish on the market to take their money. They’ve literally been in on everyone.
