David Edwards Declares

Big RT for Wisconsin. Had a subpar junior season after a monstrous sophomore campaign, but was banged up all year.

Also worth noting that Wisconsin started a lefty, so he was protecting the blindside.

If he slides into the 2nd, definitely someone the Giants should consider.
Would be an ideal 2nd round pick

Definite route we need to go.
Undervalued right now

After a 2018 that wasn't a true representation of who he is. He is a year 1 starter and exactly what the doctor ordered for the NYG RT position.

Medicals will be big for him

^This. If he checks out medically, I'd certainly consider him in round two.
My choice for Round 2 pick

Yep.

Allen/Ferrell in round 1 followed by Edwards round 2 would be an awesome start.
I would probably look to D in rds 1 and 2

And Target center in 4.

That said, I could see adding another second rounder in a trade up.

Wheeler may well improve.

is staying in Wisconsin, which is huge news for the Badgers. He's a stud. Every bit as good as Frederick imo.

has the Giants taking him in the 2nd round in their mock draft.

Where did you hear that? I haven't seen/heard it reported anywhere and google shows nothing new on it.

With three of his starting linemates moving on....

I'm a little surprised that he elected to stay. He must've received a 2nd round grade from the advisory committee.
I know what a lot of you are thinking...

We don't need no stinking Badgers, but I wouldn't've minded adding Biadasz and I would be okay with Edwards and/or Deiter as well.

Began his career at Wisconsin as a TE, former HS QB. He's still learning the position.. And he certainly isn't undervalued to anyone who's been paying the slightest attention. No Wisconsin OL will ever fly under the radar.. especially this group.

He suffered a stinger in camp which affected nerves in his shoulder. That's what caused his troubles in 2018. He tried to tough it out. I personally know that won some of people over. Stingers aren't career enders. With proper rest he should be fine. If he has reoccurring nerve concussions, small neck rolls and elevated shoulder pads help prevent them. I spoke to a friend recently about the upcoming draft, when we spoke on the prospects on this Wisconsin OL he said they want to see Edwards punch. Made a point to say that will sort a lot out with him.
