Rosas, Penny and Simonson.
Franchise Collins
BigBlueHens : 1/1/2019 8:21 pm : link
Re-sign Wynn, Rosas, Coleman, DeOssie, R. Shepard, Brown, Halapio and Hamilton.

Collins, Wynn , and Brown and important pieces to the offense and defense. Need Pulley and/or Halapio for OL depth. The rest are important special team players, who can fill in.
Jamon Brown, Landon Collins

To multi year deals.

Rosas, Coleman, Latimer, Wynn to one year deals.

Others like Webb, Fowler and Simonson might be options after the initial few weeks of free agency have passed.
I like Penny, Mauro, Pulley

And Hilapio as potential returns as well.
It’s funny to see Simonson on the UFA list.
Big Blue Blogger : 1/1/2019 8:49 pm : link
He made so many rookie mistakes that I forgot he’s been around since 2014, and has accrued four years of service. I doubt he gets much more than a qualifying one-year offer, unless the Giants regard him as a replacement for Rhett Ellison, who is a potential cap casualty.
Riley is a must keep

You keep all exclusive rights free agents
WillieYoung : 1/1/2019 8:52 pm : link
No reason not to keep restricted free agents by making offer at salary level you're comfortable with. Unrestricted you keep only key contributors going forward:
Guard Jamon Brown
Cornerback B.W. Webb
Defensive end Kerry Wynn
Safety Landon Collins
Wide receiver Cody Latimer
I would marry Rosas and Penny...
Big Blue Blogger : 1/1/2019 8:55 pm : link
... try for inexpensive quickies with Collins, Latimer, Wynn, Edwards, Simonson, Brown, Pulley and a few others, and kill the rest.
...with the caveat Willie Young mentioned:

ERFAs get tendered unless they have zero chance of making the team. RFA tenders are not automatic, but they are generally low risk.

the list of UFA's, is Collins, but I wouldn't break the bank to sign him.....the rest are easily replaceable....
looking at unrestricted only....
BillKo : 1/1/2019 10:30 pm : link
....Collins, Wynn, Brown, and possibly Lippett.

All have to be for the right price of course.......

Not sure how well Lippett performed....I don't think that well but maybe the Giants want to bring him back in hopes he continues to heal and improve.

all the ERFAs and RFAs. They'll be cheap and at the very least they're bodies for training camp in July

Of our UFAs:

-re-sign Wynn, Mauro and Edwards. I liked our DE rotation. Plus they should come cheap

-also re-sign Webb. I was pleasantly surprised by his solid play. He'll be good to keep around for nickle and dime packages and like the d-linemen he should be affordable

-on the fence about Brown. Big guy that's a decent straight ahead drive blocker but lateral movement seems to give him trouble as a run and pass blocker

-Collins? As a die hard Tide fan it pains me to say I'd let him walk. He's your typical in the box safety. Solid run defender, coverage liability (which was the biggest knock on him since college)

-everyone else? replaceable
Willie Young's list is fine for me.

With the caveat that Jamon Brown gets at best a prove it type deal. Ideally you upgrade all 3 OL spots alongside Solder and Hernandez. But I see holding Brown another year or two as a stop gap.
I am assuming Curtis Riley is still trying to get his head

This issue w not re-signing Collins is then there are zero starting level safeties They haven't had a good FS in years. Hopefully they can get him
Done w a deal that works for both sides because they really can't afford to lose another starter on that unit with no Credible replacement on the roster

My biggest concern with Collins despite the limitations of his game is that he is a shoulder tackler who just had said shoulder surgery. While the surgery was successful and I'm sure the rehab will be fine, it would be naive to think having shoulder surgery wouldn't affect his game. I think the possibility of a tag and trade is still in play. If no trade partner is found on draft day, then they can still work on an extension until July 1 to lower the 1 yr cap hit.

I want him manning a radar tower in Alaska by the end of the day. Just mail him his clothes.
