Where do you think he will land in the draft? I think he is a sure-fire bet to go top 3, most likely landing with the SF 49ers or AZ Cardinals. When i posted about Josh Allen being a top pick back in June, many here thought it was a ridiculous notion. Now, after his dominant Citrus Bowl performance, many are saying he is the most likely player to go 1st overall, Allen himself said in the post game press conference: "if i don't go number 1 overall then I don't know who deserves it".
Any chance he slides to our pick at 6? This is the guy I have wanted since I realized we were going to have another top 5-top 10 pick in the early summer. Initially, yall thought i was crazy for thinking he was going to be a guaranteed top 5 pick. I hope and pray he makes it to 6 and we select him. He is going to be the next top edge rusher in the NFL.
As a 3-4 OLB, he probably is.
yes.
That may be the scheme that Kentucky uses, but I doubt they drop an OLB into coverage and he just stands there even if it is a zone. (and I mean stands there - hardly any movement)
To me, he should only be on the LoS and attacking from there.
Maybe I'm wrong, but he reminds me of DeMarcus Lawrence or Randy Gregory - which is pretty good.
True. But the Jets don’t currently have a coach. So who knows what they will run

I thought you said Ferrell was the better prospect as he is more pro ready right now. Josh Allen is still a year or two away from being dominant.

The more work I do on Allen, the more I think he may finish with an elite grade.
The more I work on Ferrell, the more I think he is a top 15 guy more than a top 5 guy. Same with DT Ed Oliver.
Niners or Raiders could take him. Both need outside pass rushers.

Sy, is there an explosive 5-tech in this draft that the Giants might consider at 6?
In Gettleman's presser this morning he was asked about trading Snacks Harrison. He said that Snacks was playing the 1-tech, Tomlinson the 3-tech, and Hill was playing the 5-tech, and that really Tomlinson was a 1-tech and Hill was really a 3-tech. So the trade allowed those two players to play their more natural positions.
What I got out of that is that a player that can be stout enough to play the DE in our 3-4 that has elite pass rush talent would be a very strong fit.
Of course, getting a OLB who can bend the edge like Allen can, that would be fantastic as well.
I'm also fascinated with Polite. There are a lot worse scenarios than a trade down to the 10-14 range, picking up extra picks, (hopefully ammo for next year), and adding Polite.
Josh Allen LB Kentucky
Daniel Jones QB Duke
Drew Lock QB Missouri
Devin White LB LSU
Cody Ford OT Oklahoma
Jonah Williams OT Alabama
As the potential picks at 6. Is say if Allen isn’t there to trade back.
