Ogeltree at $4M is not bad. Next year at $10M? Hard to imagine that DG traded for him and didn't want him for long term. I would suspect he'll be approached for a restructure.

OV's contract is ridiculous.
So is Kareem Martin's.
Ogletree with go to $10M not only next year but in 2021.
At TE, Rhett Ellison's figures are ridiculous too.

Sorry, just noted the column years. $4M for 2019 is fine. $10M in 2020 needs to be restructured.

He was just restructured. He is not being restructured again.
The constant restructuring are why we are in this mess to begin with.
Cut bait with talent if it comes down to restructuring.
I go Solder's because he's eight times higher AND prevents the Giants from finding a good left tackle. Stewart's contract was awful, but it doesn't stop us from having a great RB....
about switching to a 3-4, especially since the LB corp had been a weakness for years now.
Issue is AGAIN that these guys who are wedded to a scheme try and change too fast. They had Snacks and could have dont the best w what they had. But then DG goes out and over lays Ogletree and Martin. Add to that the usual Reese fuck up w Vernon. They should have run more 4-3. Thennof course they gave away Harrison for a measly 5th.
Gettlemn had what seemed to be a very good draft. But he needs to just as well this year. Team is threadbare on D and they will need very big contributions from Carter and Beal to make up for his total waste of FA dollars. Both those guys will need to be starters IMO
Vernon and Martin are producing at replacement level. Neither would be missed.
Ogletree is very athletic facing the play, but much like Collins, when has to turn and run it's a problem.
I get a chuckle when folks say just fix the pass rush and the defense is fixed; aside from being totally untrue, fixing the pass rush is hard and expensive.
And we will have $9.3 million in DEAD MONEY against the 2019 cap (so far). I don't recall that ever being so high.

Note who is 10th for the ENTIRE TEAM!

Check out Spotrac's valuation tool...it helps paint the picture. With the Giants, the picture is ugly.

That's alot of money to simply be a positive influence.

Ogletree is fine for 2019 but then he needs to go.
It’s also Janoris Jenkins and Rhett Ellison.
Stweart's or Solder's?

Yes, but the sort of unquantifiable, oblique effect a guy like Stewart has on team chemistry can't have a price put upon it.
Eli and Jenkins are the interesting ones.

Easy cuts.
And Barwin. All gone. For sure.

Jenkins salary really isn’t out of line when you look at the other top CB salaries around the league.
Because it is easier to find and fit in 3-4 LBs than it is to find 4-3 pass rushing DEs and DTs. I think the Giants did pretty well in one offseason.
