(or at least the driver was) and he looked nothing like the initial description, it turns out the initial description was of someone who was also fleeing the scene and was scared for his own well being.
that sketch was circulated widely and this was branded by some as a hate crime.
shows once again how people should not jump to initial conclusions.
Hopefully the pressure put on this case by others helped this guy get apprehended. and I don't want to make it political, but you have to wonder if the circumstances weren't how they were initially reported if the same pressure would have been there.
