who would you vote for?
Steve Atwater, Safety 1989-1998 Denver Broncos, 1999 New York Jets
Champ Bailey, Cornerback 1999-2003 Washington Redskins, 2004-2013 Denver Broncos
Tony Boselli, Tackle 1995-2001 Jacksonville Jaguars
Isaac Bruce, Wide Receiver 1994-2007 Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams, 2008-09 San Francisco 49ers
Don Coryell, Coach 1973-77 St. Louis Cardinals, 1978-1986 San Diego Chargers
Alan Faneca, Guard 1998-2007 Pittsburgh Steelers, 2008-09 New York Jets, 2010 Arizona Cardinals
Tom Flores, Coach 1979-1987 Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders, 1992-94 Seattle Seahawks
Tony Gonzalez, Tight End 1997-2008 Kansas City Chiefs, 2009-2013 Atlanta Falcons
Steve Hutchinson, Guard 2001-05 Seattle Seahawks, 2006-2011 Minnesota Vikings,
2012 Tennessee Titans
Edgerrin James, Running Back 1999-2005 Indianapolis Colts, 2006-08 Arizona Cardinals,
2009 Seattle Seahawks
Ty Law, Cornerback 1995-2004 New England Patriots, 2005, 2008 New York Jets,
2006-07 Kansas City Chiefs, 2009 Denver Broncos
John Lynch, Free Safety 1993-2003 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 2004-07 Denver Broncos
Kevin Mawae, Center 1994-97 Seattle Seahawks, 1998-2005 New York Jets, 2006-09 Tennessee Titans
Ed Reed, Safety 2002-2012 Baltimore Ravens, 2013 Houston Texans, 2013 New York Jets
Richard Seymour, Defensive End/Defensive Tackle 2001-08 New England Patriots, 2009-2012 Oakland Raiders
Tony Gonzalez - Pure Athlete that caught everything.
Ed Reed - Ball Skills. Tracking and Pursuit in coverage were amazing. Game changing safety.
Tom Flores - SB winner as player, asst coach and Head Coach. This is overdue and he deserves it first over Coryell.
Isaac Bruce - Terrific receiver. Was unheralded until Rams exploded under Warner. One of my faves.
Coryell deserves consideration because he legitimately changed the game in ways we see today and the offenses run.
I cant put Boselli in. Career was too short. Mawae, Faneca, Hutchinson deserves consideration but may have to wait some.

Probably my five as well, but at some point I would vote for Boselli, Faneca, Coryell, and James.
Let's remember that Joe Gibbs and the Redskins traded Bailey and a second round pick for Clinton Portis.
Boselli
Gonzalez
James
Reed
But you know they'll throw a coach in there so probably Coryell
Making it:
- Boselli
- Gonzalez
- Reed
- James
- Coryell
Most of the others will get in in coming years.
Isaac Bruce, Wide Receiver 1994-2007 Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams, 2008-09 San Francisco 49ers

Injuries cut the next two seasons for him but he was still dominant.
Boselli will be interesting. He was the measuring stick that all tackles were compared against for many, many years, but he had short career. It's the old argument of does a short, great career deserve the hall. Problem is a lineman can't point to gaudy stats so if he doesn't get in soon he won't get in at all as memories fade.
Atwater
Boselli
Isaac Bruce
Coryell
Gonzalez
Bailey and Reed would get in next year
Law
James
Gonzalez
Ed Reed
I think Bailey, Gonzalez, and Reed are close to unanimous.
There are several absolute, no-brainer locks here, and Faneca is one of them. Boselli was really good for a short stretch but no way he should get in. Faneca is miles and miles more deserving than Boselli.
The no-brainers to me are Faneca, Hutchinson, Gonzo, and Reed. Other guys like Bailey have a case, but I'd put in Atwater over him, and I think Atwater should get in.
Mawae, Bruce, Bailey, and Lynch I believe are all deserving but not more than any of the above guys, IMO. I would vote for Mawae over all of the remaining guys on that list (after Atwater and the 4 no-brainers).
Bailey was good for a long time but he was great for just a short window. To me he's borderline. Kind of like Jim Rice in baseball. Played a long time and was good. Not a true HOFer IMO, but he got in.
Gonzalez
Hutchinson
James

Id switch James out for one more year and in place Atwater
Nobody hit harder than him!
Its embarrassing that Sterling Sharpe cant get it in at this point. His numbers were incredible before his untimely career ending injury.
Thats my point on Sterling Sharpe.
No sure hes was overrated, but I never thought of him as a HoF player either.
To me that's the class.
This. I don't think he's a HoFer
Coryell
Gonzalez
Reed
Law
Dont forget the architect of that team is in the HOF somehow...
Tony Dungy

that Bucs team was adored by the media. You had Gruden, Lynch, Sapp, Brooks, Gramatica, Ronde, et al. I'm pretty sure it's why Booger has his ESPN job right now. When does Mike Alstott get his yellow jacket?
Dont forget the architect of that team is in the HOF somehow...
Tony Dungy
I think Dungy gets credit for Tampa-2 (but no love for Monte Kiffin?) and his SB win with Peyton. Coryell's offense was way more innovative. Should Brian Billick be in the HOF? He was the HC for one of the best defenses in history (for one season.)

overrated.

I agree and I would put in Atwater way before putting in Lynch.

Tony Dungy
Which is somewhat of a joke, btw...
Agree on both.

no idea how Dungy is in the hall.
Plus boselli. Not sure how many votes each person gets.
Good player, but very overrated throughout his career. Made a bunch of undeserved Pro Bowls
Also agree that Bailey is a guy Im not sure about. Atwater was a dominate player, so was John Lynch. I feel like a case can be made for all except, I wouldnt put in Boselli, but I wouldnt object either.
Nobody hit harder than him!
It wasn't his nor the Broncos' day when SB 24 opened up with Rice ricocheting off him near the goal line.
Tony Boselli
Tony Gonzalez
Ty Law
Ed Reed
Faneca was also better than Hutch.
He wasnt on the OPs list of 15 finalists... and frankly I would have guessed he was already in.
Faneca was also better than Hutch.
They don't have a lot of pure safeties in the Hall -- Kenny Easley was a veterans candidate, and that is Atwater's barometer.
seeing whether he makes the cut this year will validate that possibility.
