In all his touches, Barkley had ZERO fumbles.
And if I'm not reading the stats wrong,
Dickerson had 13 and James had 8.
Having no fumbles in his rookie season with so many catches and a OL that allowed him to get hit in the backfield so often is really amazing, especially when you see what these other guys did in their rookie seasons.
We could have had Darnold! BTW, Darnold had 5 fumbles ABD 15 INTS. I know it's early, but it is amazing how Saquon is an extremely low risk liability, regarding turnovers.
It's on Pro Football Reference (a personal favorite of mine).
Dickerson was a notorious fumbler. He fumbled 14 times in his record breaking 1984 season. He fumbled 3 times in his final playoff game at RFK in the Rams loss to the Redskins in the Wild Card round.
Dickerson was very tall for a RB, a bit over 6'3" and he ran so upright that he gave defenders a big target to hit and jar the ball loose. Of course, he was so fast and strong that he would run guys over and if he turned the corner, not many guys could catch him.

It counts. Perhaps if that happened, there was a penalty on the play that nullified everything?
I read this and my first thought was to how realistic that prediction is instead of how crazy it sounds. Makes me excited for this off-season.
