what was said in the meeting because they don't want to show their hand. If Eli is seriously considering retiring or if he wants to move on to another team then the Giants will obviously be desperate to find a replacement either short term (Free agency) or long term (draft).
There is a ton of film to evaluate, as well as free agents and draft eligible QBs to evaluate. I would expect none of that is done yet.
The plan is most likely stick with Eli, but that will depend on what happens on draft day. If they fall in love with a guy and can get him, it will depend how ready he is whether he starts the season or not.
There is likely no secret plan that is not being divulged.
that the Giants know what they want to happen. They know whether they want Eli back. They know all the vet possibilities (that includes backups they might be able to poach or trade for). They have a pretty good idea on the draft candidates (this area is still fluid).
Now it's just a dance to make happen what they want to happen, and adjust plans as the dance goes on.
if they haven't been evaluating Eli and potential replacements all season, they've dropped the ball big time.
