1) Almost a guarantee Eli will be the QB in 2019. Only question is, do they extend him to lower the cap hit?
2) Another veteran QB is out of the question. Not happening.
3) No chance they draft Haskins at 6, clearly not the BPA. Paul's sources say 15 is the highest value for Haskins.
4) Very likely to go Front 7 on Defense with the #6 pick.
How did that go for him?
Dottino s loyalty to Eli and the Giants in general seems to lead to very slanted reporting on his part. Don’t put much stock on his POV
Listen, what he says now may play out. But he has no better clue than anyone else.
Not to mention that if he's already as high as 15 then why can't he move up to 6 by April after the combine and all the workouts.
Build that defense. The talent level on the Giant defense is putrid.
...then Eli is as good as retired.
You don't have a "brutally honest" conversation with someone to tell them you are "all in" on them.
How did that go for him?
He is discounting Eli may hang it up as well.
I know this is going to disappoint a lot of people on here...
The Giants can do whatever they want at QB. But Haskins is going to be an NFL star. He is accurate with the football and can move through his progressions. He may have things to work on, but who doesn't? I know it's not your assessment, but I don't trust the Giants' front office to do anything correctly.

This team has zero chance to compete for a title next year. If they want to keep Eli for 2018 fine but extending him makes zero sense on any level. Eli should take a pay cut or hit the road
— There is no one else currently on the roster to play QB next year or even the year after at.
— If I’m John Mara, it makes to sense to me to spend at a minimum 12-15 million on a journeyman QB, I think I’ll pass. I’d rather improve my other weaknesses and take my Chances with Eli.
— Haskins is not going to be worth the #6 pick
— The strength of this draft dovetails nicely with our primary needs.
Then again Eli could retire throwing a wrench into all of this
This is a way to pay Eli his contracted amount but significantly reduce the CAP impact
Extending is not a benefit to Eli
It’s time for the Giants to move on.. it’s been time

Looking at it short sighted. Maybe the cash we free up in 2019 lets us pick up a player or 2 to help on the OL or on defense that benefits us for a few years. even if you have to take a hit in 2020 it may be worth it. Let the process play out.
Remember 'tis the season when speculation is printed/said as what they're hearing. It's all guess work at this point.
Of course, we are still early in the process, so my opinion is subject to change as more "data points" emerge.

I hope someone does grab him in the top 5. Just makes another quality player available for us at 6.
Biggest Davis Webb fan around.
