Can't help but really feel for this kid. By all accounts a really good guy.
He's got to feel awful tonight. I guess I have a soft spot for kickers and for some reason I feel really bad for him tonight. Essentially blew his one big moment. And the Bears fans let him know about it as well.
What will be lost is the choke job the defense had down the stretch.
It's on Nagy and the GM for not cutting him sooner
I feel more badly for his teammates who fought so hard to win a playoff game only to be let down by someone who shouldn't have been on the team to begin with after such a shitty regular season
He's probably done in the NFL.
Hopefully he goes home and finds his dog shit on all the furniture

Whatever the complete opposite of feeling bad for someone is, thats how I feel about Cody Parkey right now.
Hopefully he goes home and finds his dog shit on all the furniture
Geez, you guys are brutal lol
Plus crazy fans will hound you for years.
Just awful.
Jesus you suck.
Parkey nailed the kick down the middle knowing a TO was called. He shanked the next one. That's nothing more than nerves
So yeah, fuck him.
They could not even make a 4th down stop to wrap it up!
Parkey choked, yes! But that "GREAT" Bears defense CHOCKED WORSE !!!
I do kind of feel bad for him, though - fans are ruthless and I'm sure while the wound is still fresh, a lot of them are going to be really gunning for him and several will undoubtedly cross the line with unnecessary shit like death threats.
It'll be forgotten eventually, but he's probably not going to want to be spending any time watching the news or checking social media any time soon.

Agree with this. As others have said, he failed at his job when it counted most, I dont sympathize too much for that.
But hell likely endure an avalanche of abuse from some asshole fans, most of them drunk losers on their couches. Like you said, doing things including making death threats against him and his family and crazy shit like that.
I dont wish that on anyone.
Gtfoh with that bullshit. It's a Fucking chip shot for an NFL kicker.

Since the Bears cut him, Robbie Gould has made 82 of 85 field goals.
I think you mean Gary Anderson who didnt miss a kick the entire season until the NFC Title game vs. the Falcons.
If he was only playing the Giants. He would have bounced the ball off both uprights and the crossbar amd it would have been good with room to spare.

The vitriol some of you express towards this kid. Maybe you take the disappointment sports sometimes brings too personally.
