the article also mentions Oakland as a destination which makes even less sense. I know a lot of people don’t like Carr but I still think he’s a good QB and could thrive in the right system. I have also noticed that Sy mentioned Carr as someone he’d be interested in as well, So at least I know I’m not totally insane lol. I wouldn’t give up a super high pick for Carr but if we had a third I would do it in a heartbeat. Maybe like a 3rd and a 5th type of deal, I wouldn’t even cry over a 2nd rounder for him. None of that is going to happen though. Eli will start the season for the Giants, not sure he will finish the year as the starter but he will be back.
Flacco is one of the great one-hit wonders in the NFL. A total fraud as a so called “franchise QB”. Completely underperformed to the massive contract he received after his magic carpet ride in 2013.
If this is the plan by Jints Central, I’d rather keep Eli. And that was the dumbest move ever before this speculation...
Might be more immobile than Eli. Think he'll end up in Washington. Foles with the Jags.
Trading Flacco to Washington is not going to happen. They don't have the room to absorb the guaranteed money to Alex Smith and Flacco's contract ($18.5M in 2019, $20M in 2020, $24.5M in 2021). I'm not that convinced an actual trade market will be there for Joe. If no market is there, the Ravens will eat the $16M dead cap hit.

Think he'll be released.
Not sure I have seen a more miserable person on the bench Â
The people who think Eli is done would be in for a real treat. It would almost be worth it for the entertainment value around here alone since we aren't going anywhere in 2019 no matter who is QB with the rest of this team's deficiencies.
I'll take "Ideas that make no sense" for $500, Alex Â
As in take over his contract? Why even write such terrible filth.
Agree, it is pure click-bait. We have many that wants Eli to play for less than his yearly cash earnings of $17M. But a lesser version of Eli will be paid more? Hey, let's write an article.
get a QB in the first round this year or next year, just keep Eli around. There is almost no point to bring in another veteran QB to hold the fort down. Unless Eli went into Gettleman's office last week and went all Kerry Collins on him, I don't think Eli has much of a concern knowing his role in the next year is to groom his successor.

I only see as a possibility if Eli retires leaving us with Tanney and Lauletta as QBs

It actually would be replacing Eli with a lesser Eli!

The network had a dedicated camera on him and Jackson...

^This. Plus a monstrous cap number. No way.
Agreed, Acquiring Flacco is a lateral move.
