finishing up the last of the BM episodes that I haven’t watched first. Two of my friends that watched it didn’t like it. Can’t tell if it’s just new content fatigue or what, but I’m skeptical.

I imagine it's because of the hype - I was expecting more, to be honest. They did a good job with it, but given the quality of the Black Mirror writing, I was expecting a blown mind and a week of nightmares. It's very good, but not that.
FWIW, I feel the same about Bird Box - good, but not up to the hype.
As a devoted reader of Choose Your Own Adventures as a kid Â
I HIGHLY recommend starting with the episode USS Callister - Season 4, Episode 1.
This was my intro to Black Mirror and I was pissed when I realized it wasn't a pilot episode - I'd have watched an entire series based JUST OFF THAT!
Black Mirror is already in my Top-5 all-time favorite TV shows. An old Twilight Zone fan, maybe I'm predisposed to twisted shit, but the writing, acting, production puts it head and shoulders above almost anything I've ever seen on a TeeVee screen.
but couldn't finish it. I found it pretty annoying having to choose between 2 scenarios every 2 minutes. If you choose the wrong one, they just make you go back and pick the other scenario to keep the story gong the way they wanted it.
Some people might be entertained by it, just wasn't for me. I'd rather just sit back and see the story naturally play out

I had the same experience.... it felt like a wasted hour and a half. There really is no alternate ending just a redo if you choose wrong.
not the best BM, but new BM episodes are held to an insanely high standard so people should take internet negativity with a grain of salt.
I will agree with the other two posters above, that the format might frustrate some people. Personally, I liked having to pick between two difference choices and found it fun and entertaining to have to go back after picking the "wrong" one to try and do it again. My wife didn't enjoy that interactivity as much and would've preferred a stand alone episode.
I'm a big BM fan too. The story itself was okay but it started to feel too much like a video game. I typically watch Netflix when I don't want to interact with anything or anybody so that format wasn't for me. It's cool that they tried something new but I'm hoping it's a one-off type of deal.
question but I recently went to watch Black Mirror and I know every episode is different and all that, but when I started it I realized it was playing season 4 episode 1 to start. Then I realized it had the seasons upside down, are the first ones season 1 or season 4?

Season 1 is the first season. Probably Netflix’s UI that put you in season 4, they do that on occasion which sucks because ive seen a screen shot of something that would ruin a non-anthology show. It’s happened a few times to me actually.
But you can watch BM in any order, so it doesn’t really matter.

Season one is season one and so on. The seasons are chronological. While the episodes are not interconnected per say, there are easter eggs and homages/throwbacks to previous episodes thrown in.
LOL cool...I'll check it out this week.

chop him up, CHOP HIM UP!!!
there are some references to earlier episodes, but you can watch it as a stand alone. you wont miss out on anything

There’s no real connection at all. It’s mostly a shout out to fans who’ve seen every episode up to now.
Bandersnacth is its own stand alone episode just like the rest.

But what is the connection between Bandersnatch and the Black Mirror universe? Other than the Metalhead poster I don't see a connection.

Thanks. I thought that I was missing something.
