Treavor Lawrence... WOW!!!

.McL. : 1/8/2019 2:46 am
The show he put on against Alabama. Unbelievable throws, even under pressure.

Is he the best pure Freshman QB ever?
Is he going to be the best prospect since P. Manning? Since Elway?

Incredibly impressive

2018: Tom Brady takes his team to the division title, but looks a clear step behind the Brady that was 2017 NFL MVP.

2019: Brady continues to deteriorate, perhaps they sneak in the wildcard anyway, enough to get Brady to give it one more try.

2020: Downslopes of careers happen fast at this age, and Brady finally doesn’t have it anymore, but no one will bench Brady. The Patriots finish in last place, and pick Lawrence........

Could hapoen and be set up right timing
What!!

And then declare for the draft in 2020.

I think he should enter the 2019 supplemental draft, unless a team signs him as an untendered free waiver first.

from the Gruden and the Raiders, they get bailed out by getting the first pick when Lawrence comes out. Like the Cavs winning the lottery and drafting Lebron, then Kyrie.

And wow would it be any different if we get him?

More like Spurs sucking 2 years out of like 40 and landing the #1 pick each time landing David Robinson and Tim Duncan
At this point I extend Eli for 2 years
The 12th Man : 1/8/2019 11:46 am : link
and do what ever you have to in order to draft this kid in 2021. He is as special as Saquon was in college. Man against boys. Let Eli be the QB the next 3 seasons.
Sorry the next 2 years
The 12th Man : 1/8/2019 11:48 am : link
and groom the kid in the 3rd to be the next QB for us.
Tua got exposed last night

Just like I've been saying all season.
Has anyone at all,

Didn't think so.

Let me try.

2018: Giants stunk on wheat. Concluded a miserable season with a meltdown against the Cowboys and a lot of the media and fans were calling for Eli's head.

2019: Eli and the Giants decide to make one more go of it. Giants do well with their first round pick and the rest of the draft is middling, but due to the easy schedule sneak in a wildcard berth and advance to the 2nd round. After a decent-ish season where he repairs a lot of his reputation, Eli retires.

2020: With nothing at QB but Lauletta and free agents, combined with a weak draft, Giants collapse to 2-14. Trevor Lawrence is there for the taking.

Quick guess: he wants to play in the NFL. And per current league rules he can only play for the team that drafts him, unless he’s willing to do a permanent holdout.

He seems unreal and as a true freshman, but there is almost zero chance he is ever in blue.

This is how I see it as well. Lawrence is THE prize but he’s not available until 2021. Assuming DG is still around, he’ll have the team settled into customary 3rd place finishes in the division by then (I don’t expect us to surpass Dallas and Philadelphia anytime soon). We’d have to be awful to get the #1 overall pick because whichever team does, they’re not trading it.

It just hit me. How many teams in 2020 2-3 games in are going to start Tanking for Trevor? We could have a situation where a team that finishes 3-13 is picking 6th!

And if the Giants are still a 3 to 5 win team by the end of 2020, that means something seriously awful has happened and all of these dudes will need to be cleaned out.
