Your predictions for this weeks games

Josiah31 : 1/8/2019 9:40 pm
And put them in order from most confident in to least. Really hard to do. I’m not really confident in any of these games. I wouldn’t bet on any of them, but my choices are 1. Saints, 2. Colts, 3. Chargers, 4 Dallas. I know, I know, it sucks having to put Dallas on there, but there defense is legit and they are good enough on offense to overcome Daks weaknesses. What do you all think?
I only think the Saints...
BillKo : 1/8/2019 9:43 pm : link
...can be considered a confident pick.

If you make the case for the Eagles, it's the Saints have had time off, gave their starters off two weeks, and weren't playing that great at the end of the year (but still winning). Plus, there's a revenge factor.

But home field, plus that Eagles secondary, would scare me from an Eagles' perspective...........
It's just so rare

for wild card teams to win this weekend, let alone three of them as you've predicted. They posted during one of the games that while you had 8 wild card weekend teams in superbowls between like 2005-2011 (I forget exact years), that since 2012... not one.

Or something along those lines.

I'd say I'm most confident in the Saints. So sick and fuckin' tired of Philly - if you can just block their pass rush, Brees will pick them apart. And the Dome should fuck up Foles rhythm a bit.

After that, yes, all these games should be close but...

2. Pats will get it done against LAC, unfortunately. 8-0 at home... Rivers is 0-7 lifetime in NE... Pats are well rested.

#3-4 are pick em games, but...

3. Chiefs will end their home playoff curse and beat the Colts, narrowly. But I do think the Colts are the better team - if this game were in Indy, I'd bet heavily on the Colts.

4. Dallas-Rams is toughest. Depends if Gurley is back to full health, but Rams defense should force some turnovers on Dak. And assuming Gurley is good, Goff should get some of his swagger back. I'll go Rams.

I’m banking on the Chargers to beat the Pats this time. Only because Patriots don’t have that many weapons these days. The only reason they aren’t a wild card team is because chiefs and chargers are the same division.

If Daks throws one int, they lose. He’s going to have to be a perfect game manager this weekend.

Rams
Chiefs
Pats

Chargers are probably better than Pats but B and B pull another rabbit out of the hat

Rams are a lock, even though they have not played that well recently. Cowboys are not that good

Chiefs are fairly safe pick because they are at home.

On paper, Saints should win easily. But Eagles have that same mojo that the 9-7 Giants had in 2011

but now am sure that the Patriots will meet the winner of the Eagles/Cowboys NFC championship game.

Eagles probably end up winning this week by abusing Eli Apple, just to add a little something extra to it.

I think Indy has the best chance for an upset, but I really don't see SD winning in NE or Dallas winning in LA. They only won 3 games on the road this year, with one being in NY. Lost to Carolina, Houston, Seattle and Washington on the road and were shut out by Indy.
should be good games to watch

True, though there will probably be 30,000+ Cowboys fans at the Coliseum.
I'll take a stab..

Saints. No way I see them losing this game although if they do, just give the Lombardi to Philly.

Cowboys. Dallas has IT right now unfortunately. I expect them to shut down the Rams and do enough offensively. Thankfully, I have them losing the title game in Nola next week.

Colts. Andy Reid playoff curse will live on. Colts fit that mold of the type of team you don't want to play right now. Great mix of young talent and vets. Luck is looking like himself. Side note, I <3 Quenton Nelson.

Chargers. If LAC was going to get picked off I thought last week was the week. New England just doesn't look or feel the same to me.

I feel the Chargers are the better team here. I also feel that the Cowboys can win the Rams game too. Chiefs will win a close one against the Colts and The Saints win by 2 scores over the Eagles.
These games are so

Hard to predict. I wouldn’t bet money on any of them. I wouldn’t be shocked if I got all my picks wrong. Can’t say that often. Think it just goes to show you that teams are pretty even these days. I don’t think there’s that much separating us from these teams to be honest.
I only care that the cowturds and shegals lose!

Out of all the games, you are most confident in Dallas, huh? Thts funny. That’s the game I was least confident in. This week is going to be awesome.

Those are my picks too and what I think were the best teams in their Conferences all year.

It would be fitting to see them all make their Champ Games, with the added bonus of both the Boys and Birds getting bounced out in the NFC.

I like all yours other then the one you are most confident in. Lol. Pats just don’t have a lot of weapons these days. 11-5 in the easiest division. Even their “tough games” were at home aside from Bears.
Belichick
Go Terps : 1/9/2019 8:53 pm : link
With 2 weeks to prepare he's worth more than any player in the league.

It's amazing to me that under a salary cap we were recently willing to pay Beckham $19M a year, but we aren't making Belichick an offer he can't refuse to be our head coach/GM. In terms of wins per dollar spent, if Beckham is worth $19M against the cap, Belichick in an uncapped situation is worth $50M a year at least.
Why Not

The Giants have been consistently near the top of the league in total compensation of non-players, so it isn't like they are cheaping out.

It is called tampering. So no, they cannot offer Belichick anything. He is under contract to New England. Now, Bob Kraft may take Beckham in a trade for Belichick.
