College Football: Jalen Hurts to transfer

dep026 : 1/9/2019 2:30 pm
as long as it isnt from Japan.....
Maryland
Pete in MD : 1/9/2019 2:42 pm : link
has a good shot at landing him.
I was wondering about that this year
MetsAreBack : 1/9/2019 3:06 pm : link
I assume Saban made him a deal that if he stayed through the season he would waive his "sit" year, right? Seems only fair... especially since he saved them against Georgia.
Why would he want to go
B in ALB : 1/9/2019 3:09 pm : link
to a program like Maryland? To put his life in danger?
Penn State wouldn't be bad for
barens : 1/9/2019 3:09 pm : link
him either. Same with Florida State.

Hurts has already graduated, so he wouldn't need any waiver from Alabama to play next fall.

Doesn't

They've got a stud UA All American taking over for the next three years.
There's
Pete in MD : 1/9/2019 3:41 pm : link
a self-proclaimed "insider" from another message board that is saying Maryland (due to the Mike Locksley connection), Oklahoma, and Houston are his top 3 right now.
Skill set would be perfect...

for Chip Kelly and UCLA.
He is from Houston so getting with Holgerson
B in ALB : 1/9/2019 3:44 pm : link
makes a lot of sense.

I thought of that too, but for a one year gig, UCLA does not look so good. They are too far off talent wise.

Jalen was a good soldier. Can't blame him for wanting to go and start somewhere. He's good enough to deserve that.

I don't think much of him as an NFL prospect - but he's a great kid and I'm looking forward to seeing him play wherever he winds up.

But Houston has a really good QB who is coming back. Oklahoma has a top QB coming in but they probably want him to sit for a year. Although, if they think he could be like Lawrence maybe they wonít block him.

King is coming off a torn meniscus. Who knows how he recovers.

Seems to be an nfl talent. He grew a decent amount. I beleive he was listed a couple years back at 5í11. Now heís 6í2. Cuse football is back but I hang tight and wait for Bs input. A friend of mine and co worker played for cuse so I get a lot of good insight from him. Darrell Smith he played briefly for the Texans as an undrafted free agent and for what itís worth said JJ Watt is the nicest guy heís ever met.

Being from Houston, TCU would be a good choice. Always a pretty good team

a report that he's visiting Maryland this weekend but it seems like he's in very high demand.

Look at Oklahoma's recent track record with QBs.

Not saying Hurts will follow that path, but it was an easy sell.
