...is one of the other Yellow Submarine soundtrack numbers Its All Too Much. Has a great Hendrix-esque guitar feedback intro and is a "big" sounding song with a lot going on. George didn't think much of it but I've always thought it deserved more attention.
What say you?
John thought he should have been the one to sing it, I’m glad Paul stuck to his guns and sang the vocals.
No fans for that one?
Again, Beatles were a serious chameleon and on She's So Heavy, showed a side we sadly would never get to see a full exploration of. MONSTROUS song, full of emotional swings and possibly my favorite ending of any Beatle song.
If they could've held it together, the sky would've been the limit in the 70's.
As early as 68', 'Imagine', 'Jealous Guy', 'All Things Must Pass' were being tinkered with. They easily had another 3 great albums in em'.
A crying shame, but they had grown too far apart artistically, and were fighting over money to boot.

You're kidding, right? :-)
Iv'e seen this song rated as the worst Beatles song ever in a number of articles...
Even John said it was done as a goof to fill up space on an album
That and Revolution 9 have always been up there as the two least popular Beatle songs ever

My second pick after She Said.

John was asked in the 70s or possibly 1980 what the Beatles would have sounded like if they were still together and his reply was ELO

Lol
His comment on that from his famous 1980 Playboy interview was "It was more my style then his. If he had any sense I would've sung it"
Better than the original, IMO
Judy Collins - ( New Window )
