Quite a story from this guy, and he wants to play another year...

Please do not waste what little cap space we have on him.

We need young players...not guys in their last season.

There's always room for an ex-Panther good locker room guy at a cool 3M a year. Bonus if you hit IR before the bye.
I think he's one...

..of the guys Gettleman wanted to have an exit plan for which got him in hot water with the owner.

Gettleman thought he was basically done 2-3 years ago.
We could always use an ex-Panther

with good locker-room skills...
I doubt..

given the past between he and Gettleman that he'll be a Giant.

The ironic thing is the new owner gave the directive for this move and there may be a similar decision regarding Olsen in the next few weeks. There's a hope he will simply retire.

Those two guys were the ones that Gettleman was looking to either move or restructure and Jerry richardson fired him for exploring those options.

The new owner, Tepper, has no such loyalty to them.
He seems

like a very nice guy. I had pre-game field passes for that infamous Beckham-Josh Norman game and he was very engaging with the fans.
It's probably more like

the Panthers move on from Thomas Davis.
That was the way..

it was presented on the news last night. The Panthers move on from Davis.

He had a video where he expressed his desire to stay a Panther and then reluctantly says, "I still want to play football. Unfortunately it will have to be for another team".

His wife said the team broke the news face to face and thanked Davis for his years of service and his community outreach.
Love this dude

Story is awesome. Was a great linebacker for a few years. 3 ACL tears were a lot to come back from, but what people forget is he played through a broken forearm in that super bowl against the Broncos. I wanted Kuechly and Davis to win a ring that year so badly. Cam, eh not so much.
