But it’s not a lock, shit I thought the bears D would be enough to beat Philly last week so wtf do I know. Gun to head I probably would have taken Philly and the points however.
I had Dallas beating Seattle and I think they beat the Rams.
Dallas at New Orleans nfc title.
Philly at Dallas for nfc title we might as well just end the world. I’ll probably have a stroke.
to make that happen. A strong effort by the Eagles will likely create a shootout in New Orleans. Good luck with that. The Rams will have Gurley and CJ to pound the rock. Goff will be able to pick his spots and hammer the Cowboys. It will take turnovers to change the dynamics.
That secondary sucks. They played Mitchell trubisky outside in the cold and Mitchell missed a lot of guys open in the first half. Brees will not and I can see this being a 10 point plus win for NO
Dallas has the formula to beat up a finesse offense. The rams run d isn’t stout. If Dallas can mimic last weeks performance by running the ball and getting pressure on the qb it will be a long day. Gun to my head. Rams win on a last second field goal

Same Bears D that got tossed around by the Giants?
New Orleans slowed down a bit at the end of the year, but with two weeks of to lick wounds and dissect the Eagles defense, I expect Brees to pick the Eagles secondary apart unmercifully. This isn't Mitch Trubisky the Eagles are playing.
Dallas will give the Rams a run for their money. I think the Dallas front four will dominate the Rams line and Whitworth will finally be called for the holds he gets away with weekly.
Gurley will need to be healthy and ready. Donald will have a big game against a beat up Dallas Line. It will be a very good game and I expect the Rams to win a tight game even if the score may not be that close.

Didn't the play each other in the NFC Championship in 1980? The year the Eagles went on to the Super Bowl and lose to the Raiders?
I know it was a long shot but at the beginning of the year I kind of wanted the Giants to be the one to give the boot to Philly in the playoffs the way it happened in 2008. For some reason, that 2009 game playoff game still pisses me off.
Did they? Nope. Of course, they blew another 2 possession game to them late in the game because of stupid coaching to those fucking clowns.
Anyone who is confused why I'd rather Dallas win over Philly should've went to that game that day. Dallas fans are stupid but Philly fans just piss me off in a completely different way.
and a beat up offensive line. This is not going to be an easy win for them. I would be mildly surprised if the Eagles won, but this is 65/35 game in terms of win percentage and that’s not comforting.
Are a little beat up, but I think they are getting somewhat healthy on the oline. The secondary isn't great, but I think the defensive front makes up for that. They are also very good against the run. If I am the Eagles, I am very scared that I need to use Foles to win this game.
Nonetheless, I fully understand the apprehension that we as Giants fans have. It is not a slam dunk that the Saints will win, I'm probably 70/30 it's a win. It will almost certainly not be a blowout like last game (probably something like 28-17).
However, I will say things that would scare me as an eagles fan (1) Foles on the road in back-to-back weeks in the playoffs something hes not had to do (2) facing a good run defense (3) playing in the dome.
I remember in 2011, before the Giants beat the Packers thinking, for them to have any shot the 49ers have to beat the Saints. I was convinced there was no way the Giants were winning in the dome. This is a tough draw for the eagles.
Who sees Eagles with Foles, advancing (if we could guarantee a loss in Championship Round or Super Bowl) as a real big problem for Eagles going forward.

This probably is better discussed in the Wentz/Foles Thread. But I think it is a legitimate sense of doubt in the Eagles FO to decide which player to commit to. Wentz is no doubt the better QB. But Foles makes the Eagles a better team. The last time Wentz got destroyed by the Saints. If Foles leads the Eagles to a victory against the team that Wentz couldn't be competitive, then the discussion will be getting louder in their FO.
The Eagles could commit to Foles who would likely be cheaper than Wentz and flip Wentz for picks. Hypothetical, but what would the Jags give up to secure Wentz? The Eagles would be flush with picks.

Something tells me Giants fans aren't done with cursing at Eli Apple during a game.
I thought the Bears would beat the Eagles. So while I think the Saints will win, I dont think its going to be a walk in the park.
I thought the Bears would win if they completely shut down the Eagles offense. It almost happened (10 points at the 59 minute mark). But the Bears offense, their weak link all year, couldn't get enough hits against the Eagles secondary.
I think Brees is going to rip them apart....Trubisky apparently had opportunities but didn't fire on them. Brees will.
Totally did not read your post. Ha ha

Yep, missed this before posting mine.
As long as either goes on to lose the big game I am fine.
Saints will take care of business at home and shut down all this Foles hype.
Go in expecting atleast 1 game to go awry, I know I will.
Ive see that. Not too bad, believe it or not.
Nothing would piss Eagles fans off more than losing to Cowboys in NFC Championship and then Cowboys beating Andy Reid in the Super Bowl...
It would be awesome.

Let me get this straight... you would root for the Cowboys to beat the Chiefs in the superbowl?
