I always liked.

He is one of the players I'd tell kids to watch to learn fundamentals.

Watch him with the puck, watch without the puck. Fundamentally there is nothing he could not do and do well.

He's a rare breed in the NHL. He's solid or better 5v5, can play on the PK, PP, and can score "goal scorer's goals" and greasy goals. Solid hockey IQ.

Good size, great locker room guy, and he does everything well. Can play physical (wish he would have been more physical, but Nash was a physical player)

The problem Nash faced his whole career is he won the Richard at 19, setting up career expectations he just wasn't really set up to meet. 19 PP goals as a 19 year old, and that was almost 50% of his goals that year he won the Richard.

Concussions suck.
if he's only getting this medical advice now,

and at all, it's high probability too late to avoid dread effects of CTE. He gave his all as a two-way and ST player. Hope he avoids the worst as he lives his life.

Best wishes to Nasher and hopefully there aren't long-term ill-effects of his head injury(s). One of the easiest players on the planet to root for. Wish we could have raised Lord Stanley's Cup while he was here.. some great runs. But it wasn't meant to be.
Sorry To Learn This

Never thought he worked out as a Ranger, but he seemed like a good team-mate and one who had years left in the tank. Too bad that he had to hang it up.
