will probably have a target on him like OBJ did his rookie year when Williams was Rams DC. How he didn't get a lifetime ban after bounty-gate is a mystery to me
hating coaches of other teams gets overblown but I can’t stand Williams and that show made me hate him more. Actually, besides that strange fat guy I hated all the coaches from that show.
When he was with the Rams it was clear he wanted to hurt Beckham, and the bountygate stuff was really disgusting. Pete Rose is banned from baseball for life for gambling but Williams is still in the NFL. I don’t really care about Pete Rose one way or the other, but it always seems to me that paying people to injure other players is worse than gambling. Although I don’t really know the extent to what Pete Rose did or if he tried to fix games he was managing. I played college football and there were always a few asshole guys that would pride themselves on hurting opposing players, but’s it’s an entirely different level when the coach is paying players to do it at the professional level.
and have a second shot at him in the regular season.
Barks won’t play game 4 in the preseason (or probably much of any other preseason game).
I think the Williams stuff is a little overblown. I don’t think there’s a lot of d-cos putting bounties out on guys but I can’t imagine there’s too many that are coaching up brotherly love and sportsmenship either. It’s the NFL and every time a guy steps on the field it there’s a whole host of other guys trying to oppose him with physical violence. It ain’t baseball.

We play the Jets in game 3 and the Pats in game 4 of preseason
After the disaster that was Bowles/Rodgers, it's so refreshing to bring in one of (if not the best) defensive coordinator in football
You are such a homer. Williams might be the best DC in football? Off the top of my head I can think of several that are better: Marinelli, Schwartz, Sutton, Bradley, Phillips, Allen, etc.
For the life of me, why does a Jets fan post on a Giants board? Â
He really is despicable. And so is his old coach Sean Payton, another scum.
I think Bounty Gate was overblown as something unusual in the NFL. That reward system was somewhat commonplace. But the manner in which Williams went about creating a culture of malice was over the line. This guy taught techniques to injure. He was like a football terrorist.
As much as I dislike the direction the league is going by draining the physicality out of the game, and the way Goodell hands out punishment, I would have been fine banning Williams from the game permanently.
Our game next year. The 2015 was an epic though it was probably what got Coughlin fired eventually which I didn't want to see. Coughlin was one of my favorite coaches to root for. He just poured his heart in soul into everything, the passion he has for football hasn't wavered one iota as he's aged.
Both teams will bounce back significantly next season
In a way this will be a good round 2 for Darnold/Barkley after Darnolds incredible win in that mesmerizing Rose Bowl
Super Bowl baby!!!!
Yeah, but that motherf$&ker coaches dirty!!
He'll put a bounty on his head

In 2018 they were 30th in yards allowed and 21st in points allowed.
The Jets old DC Rodgers with less talent was ranked
In 2017 25th in yards and 22nd in points
In 2018 25th in yards and 29th in points.

Congratulations on getting the guy who ran 2018's 30th-ranked D in yards per game and 21st-ranked D in points given up per game!
You got your man!
Agreed. Kris Carter should tell him about his name.
Slap that on a bumper sticker and I'll buy one!
That's ridiculous. GW is a one-trick pony. He designs some pretty good blitz schemes, but those blitzes don't get home, his D's get torched.
7 times he's been the DC of a defense that was top 10 in the league in yards allowed
He generally overachieves with the personnel that he's given
The guy is well known throughout the league as a top defensive coach. That's why he's entering his 20th year in the league.
Parade of roses? Our head coach looks like he's been on a 3 day adderall bender ;-)
