I’m certainly not one to think Giants should sign every free agent and yes the giants oline isn’t very good but it’s not like we hear about all these great offensive line coaches around the NFL. Munchak is known as the best in league so yes, I’d want him. Grimm was someone I wanted last year but he retired. If they added a couple more olinemen via free agency and draft with Munchak as oline coach I guess you wouldn’t like it. I would

Guys like Munchak and Callahan have gone to multiple organizations and had great success. Munchak was praised for his work last year and Roethlisberger has been campaigning for the Steelers to keep him.

Think this is true. Never could figure out why they do not go after these top notch proven position coaches and coordinators. They are outside the cap restrictions and the Giants have plenty of $$$ and NYC to offer. Seems like no brainer.
Either he'd leave PIT for a better position elsewhere or he'd just stay on there in the same role.
It wouldn't make sense for him to take the same position on another team and move laterally. I can't imagine PIT wouldn't want him back in the same capacity.
The idea that it's being "cheap" to not pursue this type of coach is silly - I don't think it has anything to do with finances and everything to do with feasibility.
but I would love to see the Giants contact Russ Grimm and try to talk him out of retirement. Grimm is one of the best OL coaches of the past 20 years. Perhaps he is rejuvenated after a year off.

this year. The guy spun straw into hay, at least, if not exactly gold. They were playing better as a group at the end than they were early, and with significant (and actually helpful) turnover.
Give him a new FA that's + level and a rookie OL from the first two rounds that's actually NFL ready, as much as Hernandez was, and keep Brown on an incentive laden deal, and I think he'd have something a bit more to work with.
