NFT: HelloFresh

Has anyone tried it?

I hate going to the grocery store, don't really have time, and generally have no idea what I'm doing.

This seems like a pretty easy way to do some cooking, stay reasonably healthy and not have to put in too much work.

Curious if anyone else has experience with it and if so, any recommendations on meals to get etc.

It’s worth a shot but it wasn’t for me

if you really can’t go grocery shopping you are better off doing Peapod and cooking what you like. Hello Fresh is great if you don’t know what to make or want to try something new. I like to cook and I like picking out my own produce and meats which is the main drawback for me.
The meats leave a ton

To be desired, but I’ve always had a good meal when cooking what they give you. You can also use the recipes to redo the meal yourself.

If you are looking to save time during the week, these meal systems aren’t for you because they take a while to prep and cook. If you are looking for instruction and help cooking new foods, it’s great.
For pre-cooked, ready to heat & eat portions

And I use it then cancel then use it. We just get sick of making same thing all the time so when we hit the rut. We will go back to using it. I like it a lot haven’t had a bad meal.
I've been using it for about 5 months

It's really good. After a while the options do repeat often so I have been thinking about canceling.

Sun basket. To be sun basket is the best. Blue apron uses recipes that often require useing every clean pan you own and hello fresh wasn’t too far behind
My wife and I tried out hello fresh and plated a couple years back

It was a nice change of pace but just took too long to prep and cook most of the meals. And honestly at $35 for a dinner for two, you're almost at take out prices. Just so much cheaper to go grocery shopping at Publix and Costco.
Much better route and value...just get meat from Butcher Box
