He was playing pretty well earlier this season with nyg. Now he’s playing with much more surrounding talent and it shows. Anyone looks better with help around him.
with several of his old Ohio State teammates. From what we've seen of Apple he is immature as hell. He acts most of the time like he wishes he was still in college. With an offense that can bail out defensive lapses, and all his friends around him, New Orleans is a perfect place for him.
The Giants got a 4th round pick for what was a top 10 pick Â

New Orleans has an awful secondary though. I wouldn’t really say they are covering him up as a weakness.

I wanted him off of this team and out of our locker room. We had Mark Haines back in the early 80s and he was one of the best corners in the league. We traded him to Denver because he was not on board and apparently was a locker room lawyer. People thought Parcells was crazy.
Apple is not a good corner and certainly is not worth the baggage. The fucking guy still needed his social justice warrior mom to speak for him up until last year.
He made some plays today, as well did, as a guy named
Michael Thomas, taken AFTER Sterling Shepard
He was also taken after Corey Coleman, Will Fuller, Josh Doctson, and Laquon Treadwell none of whom are as good as Sterling Shepard. You going to whine about that too?
RE: Earned quite a bit of praise from Aikman and Buck today Â
to be a great CB, but he is a head case and was a cancer in the locker room. DG says he wants guys who hate losing, a guy laughing on the field after getting lite-up doesn't fit that mold.

I like the Ohio State angle. Have cited it in the past.
And Dennis Allen has done phenomenal work with that D. Where they started the year (getting smoked by the Bucs) to where they are now is night and day.
If you can't see that is crystal clear, I don't know what to say.
He finished the year with one of the highest QBR ratings against him. He committed a lot of penalties. Doing that on a good team is a lot more forgiving than doing it on a poor team.
and I think he will be exposed. He's just not a natural CB. Watching him and Lattimore who is terrific, you can see the ball skills and anticipation ML has that Apple just lacks.
Yea I watched a lot of the Saints after he was dealt there Â
For the most part he was garbage. Holding on every play when he wasn't getting burned. Sure he made a few plays here and there just like when he was here that made you feel there was hope(like the break-up in the 4th where he played it perfectly). We'll see how he matures, but frankly the fact that he wasn't the total immature piece of garbage he was here is why people are singing his praises. The bar is low. Its not like the guy is ever gonna be the 2nd coming of Mike Haynes. Or even Corey Webster for that matter...
If you can't see that is crystal clear, I don't know what to say.

You can keep repeating it but they still won't listen.
Did he have either today? He looked solid from what I saw.
Change of scenery seemed to be necessary for him. It happens.
Quote:
He's a holding or pass interference call waiting to happen every play

Change of scenery? Could be change of coaches.

They have a pass rush.
Sure keep beating that drum and ignore that he is an excellent coverage CB. Blanketed the Eagles today

If he works out long term for the Saints and isn't who he was with us Ill gladly change my opinion on him

Said the change of scenery was a huge difference for him.
Let's see what happens when they win a Super Bowl and Brees announces his retirement.

Did Aikman and Buck do the game?
Ereck Flowers?
So I think that is a good thing for him...
A change of scenery was needed for both he and the Giants.

Don't conflate the Saints being a quality team with the concept he's more than an ok cornerback.
Addition by subtraction for NYG, task one being cleaning out the locker rooms of dolts.
Maybe.. but he still is only an average CB at best.
while on offensive side Gettleman 's moves was to improve the Offensive specifically the OL
and what happen by end of year we have a surging offense and a defense that lacked players to be effective at all
it made zero sense to follow this path -- and I am baffled why Gettleman doesn't get criticized more with his moves this year .
