Great acting and story is good as well.

Very close to Season One quality. Same formula with three separate timelines, 1980,1990 and 2015.

Jaded partner says waxing philosophic, strange sculptures near murders, there was even a Lovecraft reference (book in the kids room). That could be good or bad. Good so far tho.

Season 1 paint by numbers. Good enough to keep watching tho.

There is one thing I liked better than season 1 (without spoiling anything) so far for season 3.

There are no low-talkers. While watching season 1 I had to have the volume maxed up and even considered watching with sub titles. McConaghey spoke so softly I couldn't hear what he was saying - in the interview scenes specifically (which I thought could very well have been my hearing which is shot, but this season doesn't have that "feature")

I also noticed Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaghey are producers for season 3. Is that new? Or were they on season 2 as well. I don't really know if a producer has any role in a show other than financial, but I didn't notice that with season 2.

Mahershala's back story in this is creepy AF.

Where he is following the trail. The tension they built with that was amazing

I am behind on the times. I do have the theme song from the first season in my car.
