The ball slipped through Alshon Jeffrey’s hands, became an INT and QB Nick Foles immediately found him. What did Foles say? “He told me he loved playing w/ me and we wouldn’t have won a Super Bowl w/out me,” Jeffrey said. “Still, I let the city of Philadelphia down.”
and just a hunch, but I think Philly made a mistake rushing that play before two minute warning.
They were driving, in control, and, I thought, trying to balance scoring and managing the club clock. Seemed more practical to let the two minute warning stop play, regroup on the sideline, and then begin the drive for the lead...

Wait, I thought only Shurmur has these brain farts during critical moments?

They were saying that on WIP this morning. Maybe the thought was that they had the Saints on their heels so don't give them a chance to recuperate.

Absolutely - I get it.
Point being they didn’t need to rush. They where inside the forty of the Saints with a TO in their pocket. They last thing they needed to do was score too fast.
the Eagles made the right call. The problem was execution. Jeffery mishandled the ball. The Eagles won last week with a finger-tip ball... they lost this week on a finger-tip ball. Cry Eagles Cry.
Last Night all the talking heads were saying they rushed Â
But, that just clear hindsight second guessing.
Eagles had them on their heels and didn't want to give them a breather. The play worked, the received choked it.
depends on the outcome. If Saints are expecting them to let the clock expire, Eagles can catch them off guard. As Bama said, the play worked. I doubt Jeffrey missed the ball because they went into hurry up mode. He simply flubbed it. Most of the time, he makes that catch.
play, and like others have said it would have worked, but my problem is with game clock management. 2 minutes from they were, with a TO, was plenty of time. You don't want to score too early there and leave a lot of time on the clock. Especially if a FG is going to beat you. If he catches that ball, they are at the 20 in 4 down mode, with still almost 2 minutes to go.

If he catches it, they would've started at the 22 rather than the 27 with two minutes to go. I'd rather be at the 22.
I was so impressed by the quality of CHARACTER on the Eagles team. That is why they won the SB last year. That is why they advanced in the playoffs this year and gave the Saints a game.
Had Jeffrey hung on, I truly believe they'd be playing the Rams this weekend. Alas, it was not meant to be but kudos to Pederson, Foles and company for the way they handled a tough break. Class.
RE: Honestly, I felt bad for Jeffrey. Imagine being him? Â

Yup. Character. That’s why the Eagles won last year.
now they know the pain of winning it all and then being knocked out the next year.

Bird Box actually would have worked fine with this gif.

I’m looking for the worms McNabb used to throw to.
