A lot of talk on Saints 3rd quarter nearly 12 minute, 117 yard drive. Brees and offensive talked about it being a turning point for them.
Interesting:
This was the SECOND longest drive in terms of time off clock in NFL post season history.
THE FIRST?
2000 NFC Champ game, Giants/Vikings ran over 12.30 minutes and resulted in no points.
This was in the 4th quarter, and Jason Garrett made his post season debut as the QB for the Giants when the rested Collins after being ahead 41 points.
It was the drive that took 18 minutes off the clock, where OJ Anderson ran for 75 yards on 25 plays and we salted the game away then and there!!
Did they start from the stands?
Did they start from the stands?

9 minutes, 29 second drive, that 75-yard drive. Super Bowl record.

92 yards, yes. They did gain 117 yards in total offense on the drive though.

Salted the game away? That game came down to a missed field goal as time expired.

I have to defer to mudbear and his recollection of the famous drive to open the 3rd quarter in the SB against the Bills.

Clearly sarcasm. I think it's an inside joke with mudbear, who probably misremembered the details at some point and overestimated how long the drive actually was. FatMan, am I warm?
Go grab it....
Hahahaha
Burning hot!!
