but on Netflix I recommend the following which fits your criteria:

Green Room - indie thriller
The Gift - indie thriller/mystery
Wind River - drama/mystery set in modern day western backdrop

. Hugh Jackman's kids get kidnapped

I’ll never watch that movie again. I cant drum up the interest to see a lot of these movies since I had kids to be honest.

Don't want to spoil it, but I thought it took the cheap way out.

I'm a huge Paul Dano fan though. He was great in the recent Showtime show about the prison break.

enjoyed the movie, but the detectives GF can go fuck herself. absolutely nuts imo. i enjoyed the movie tho.

Oh he is. One of the biggest assholes I've ever met. It's pretty widely known also. I've seen lists of the biggest assholes in Hollywood. He's always at or very close to the top spot.

Bale does an incredible Dick Cheney.

Escape from Danenmora the Showtime series about the escape from that prison was one of the best shows I had ever seen. I would put the acting, plot, writing, etc on the level of a Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Better Call Saul, Mad Men,etc. Unfortunately, and I do not think this will be a spoiler (but if you don't know what happened to them in real life stop reading now), there won't be a second season.

Wife didn't make it thru but wow what a fucking trippy ass movie. I thought it was insanely obvious it was a cult and that juice was poison but still a good movie. I also had a feeling the wife was just lost and wasn't actually a nut. She was more of a desperate follower.

I enjoyed the movie. Def a good one.
