that Baker beat him out for ROTY. Mayfield wasn't even a top 10 QB. Mayfield did at least get a rookie record (most TD). Barkley was at least a top 3 RB and now owns a rookie record of his own (receptions). Barkley's also the 3rd RB in history to gain over 200 scrimmage yards. Mayfield did well as a rookie but not as great as Barkley.

Hopefully, the AP gets it right by giving the ROTY to Barkley.

Mayfield made Cleveland relevant. He was 7-6-1 as a starter with all the pressure as the #1 pick.

Guy threw 27 TDs, completed 64% of his passes, and almost 2:1 in TD/INT ratio.

I didn�t like him out of OU. And still don�t like him. But he played terrifically and winning this award has merit.
