You love, but doesn't fit a "need" on this team. A guy you would love to see on the Giants, but recognize it would probably not best serve their interests right now.
I'll start with the Iowa State tandem, WR Hakeem Butler and Rb David Montgomery.
Butler is legitimately 6'6 and is unbelievable at high pointing the ball. When fans talk about this offense missing that vertical threat, this guy immediately comes to mind. He absolutely mosses guys. Don't know how impressive his route tree is though.
Montgomery is just an absolute bowling ball. When i watch his film, he gives me major Marshawn Lynch vibes. They move the same way, and while they're known for running with anger, they can also make you miss. He also has some catching ability as well. Lacks elite speed, but i love his toughness.
Both will probably go in round 2, maybe round 3.
Nice. Haven't watched any film on the Ole Miss wide outs yet but i'm excited to what they're about. Greg Little, their tackle is also highly touted.
if we took the best
QB
WR
RT
RG
C
EDGE
ILB
FS
even SS
CB
it can be backed up as a "need", WR is a stretch i suppose..
Rashan Garys has timed significantly faster as a much heavier 285lb 3/4 DE/DL.
So, whereas I'm not looking at prospects, there are ways to use that. OLB even, rotation DL, etc
But T.J. Hockenson.
That's plenty fast for an olb that's mainly going to attack the line...or a rotation DL on 3+ and 3++
But of course I'm always interested in RB's, and its certainly arguable the Giants shouldn't be. But I still want a straight ahead banger to eat up time and move the chains. Guys I'm looking at include Darnell Woolfolk, though I don't know his availability due to his military service commitment.
Another interesting guy is Ozigbo from Nebraska. He looks raw, but has an intriguing collection of tools: size, quickness, vision, some elusiveness and long speed. Power is only so-so though. Should be available very late or as an UDFA.
And smaller, but a hard-nosed runner, but also one with all-around skills is Tempel's Ryquell Armstead. Reminds me a little of Bradshaw. Very little talk about him, but from what video I've seen, he could be the sleeper RB of the draft.

This is weird, but for some reason I was thinking recently about how we shouldn't ever compare a guy to Bradshaw. I mean, I know he wasn't Barry Sanders or Jerry Rice, but still for some reason I feel like there will only ever be one Ahmad Bradshaw. Not knocking your post btw, I was just watching the 2007 SB run and this was something that crossed my mind. No one will ever be quite like him. He was the most ferocious offensive player I've ever seen (which made up for not being the most talented or physically gifted). One of my top 5 all-time favorite Giants for sure.
Good call. There is a lot to like.
I’m very, very curious to see what he runs at the Combine.

He is more quick than fast. Probably around 4.50.
You're thinking of Hollywood Brown
