Unless frank turns into a glue starter and what’s up with wes’s Contract?
Don’t do anything out of desperation? Contrary to this obsession around here we don’t have to dump hardaway’s contract especially at all cost. Why? We aren’t even sure one FA can be had this summer.
this deal on his podcast a couple of times...so maybe these "rumors" are coming from that. Of course, he though Hardaway only had next season on his deal not a player option for 20/21. I can't see smart teams taking on 2/39 for Hardaway.

Wes is an 18 million dollar expiring deal.
And D Smith Jr costs less and has one year less on his deal than Frank.
Thats a win trade by getting rid of THJR's contract. It immediately opens up a max contract..
Would be great but I despise smith jr’s Game. Reminds me of steve Francis. I really think frank is going to be a solid nba a player and don’t want to trade him. I would only do this if you know for a fact your getting Durant. Otherwise doesn’t make sense. Would rather wait until the offseason to do this.
but I want to believe we're discussing Timmy in trades. I hope he's no longer viewed by the organization - if he ever was - as some sort of core piece.
THJR contract doesn't just kill the Durant class Â
since we will have to extend KP by then i believe.
If we can dump Timmy and it only costs frank im fine with it. Neither is a core piece. I mean i want to think Frank still improves, but he just looks like a guy and his lack of improvement from last year to this year is what has made me sour the most on him. This is a kid who has played professionally for years, im just not sure how much better he gets.
That said i bet it costs more then Frank to move his contract and i dont think its worth more, unless its the summer and we 100% know we are signing X and Y and need that money. Dont trade multiple assets "in case" we can sign someone.
RE: THJR contract doesn't just kill the Durant class Â
Also kills the Anthony Davis class. And his contract's got the trade kicker that boosts the cost to the acquiring team.
The Mavs' scenario would be a great deal; so much so I find it hard to believe.
THJR doesn’t kill the Durant class. They need to clear a couple mill to fit his max. You don’t think if Durant chooses NY, the Knicks couldn’t trade Lee with an asset? Hell, if it means Durant you attach a first and never look back if you need to. Remember, the Warriors did this with Bogut to fit Durant after his Players Tribune piece.
We've seen time and again across all the major sports that athletes do not develop in a linear, or incremental, manner. It's much more like a chart of the stock market--there's a lot of up and down noise in earlier years. While I agree he's been a disappointment so far this year, I'm not ready to give up on the possibility of his improving.
According to tankathon. 1.5 games behind Cleveland and just .5 behind the Bulls, who I hoped could have beaten a LeBron-less Lakers last night. They lost 107-100.

There seem to be a few like that floating around.
I won't be surprised if the Knicks make a trade but I'm taking all the rumors with a grain of salt.

This.. and its why you make this move if you can.

I guess that's one way to get him off the team.
