Manny Diaz has come in and has done more in 2 weeks than Richt had done in the past year in Miami, pulling in Martell from OSU is a huge get, especially when Miami has such a drastic hole at QB.
Diaz last night also got Jeff Thomas, one of the most explosive WRs in the country to come back to Miami, after announcing he was going to leave.
Miami also pulled in Bubba Bolden, one of the top Safeties from USC as a transfer, and Buffalo WR grad transfer who was one of best on the market.
Most importantly, he found a way to get Enos away from Alabama which was a homerun hire. I have been very down on the U for a while, but think college football is way better when they are good, Manny Diaz has them firing on all cylinders right now.
Seems like Manny is embracing what Miami is, if they can keep kids home, the will develop something special in Miami.

Big who was it and who are your two guys? Any more details?
Any clue where Hunte and Tarik are leaning, thought I had read Hunte is a Penn State lean?
And it wasn't hard getting Enos away from Alabama. He wasn't going to get the coordinator job there. Alabama didnt want him to be OC, if they did he would not have been going to Miami

He was going to get the Bama gig, Georgia also wanted him, and he chose Miami. I have heard his wife had a major say in this, Miami also opened the check book and he will have a lot of leeway under Diaz.
Who are you a fan of Mook? FSU? ND?
Everyone just assumed he would get the Alabama OC job, but he didn't. If you believe he turned down Alabama for Miami I have a really nice bridge to sell you. The only thing out there in the media is that everyone assumed Enos was next in line. But he obviously wasn't.

Alabama's entire staff left essentially, his wife also hated being in Alabama.
Got it, Notre Dame fan, makes plenty of sense! Again, I am not a Miami fan, I actually like Rutgers football and support the local schools, college football at it's peak is when Miami is best, it is obvious you are anti- Miami, which is fine.
Whether he would of gotten the job or not, he is still a home run hire for Miami.
And please stop hiding that you're a Miami fan. I'd be shocked if this was your only handle. If you've been around since 2014 you know who I root for in college football, but you're trying to play dumb and it's not fooling anyone.
If you're not a Miami fan, it seems pretty odd to somehow know that Enos wife hated Alabama.
And LOL @ college football is at its best when Miami is good. They can't even fill their own building. Miami teams of the early 2000's and late 80's were fun to watch, but Miami being good doesn't make college football better whatsoever. College football doesn't need Miami to be good. The tv ratings don't all of a sudden go up when Miami is good.
I don't hate or love Miami. I'm indifferent about them, I'm too young to remember when ND-Miami was an actual rivalry. I actually loved watching them in the early 2000s.
Use some common sense. Enos didnt get the job and thats why he took Miami.

I have lurked the forum prior to 2014, but this is my only log-in. I am a Rutgers Guy....unfortunately, very bleak future on the banks. Sitkowski really disappointed me.
Maybe it will be. But there's nothing on his resume that suggests it will be a home run. He was an OC for 3 years at Arkansas from 2015-2017. He was OC two separate times at smaller schools years ago.
His resume does not scream home run hire. I don't think it's a bad hire but I don't know why you would call it a home run hire.

Have you met him?
Im surprised he didn't use his connections to Cuse and transfer there
Miami owes a lot to Brevin Jordan, not only is he one of the best TEs in the country, but just got them two blue chip high school teammates to come to Miami. Why can't Rutgers have this!

He'll fit right in at Miami.

Cuse has a QB. They certainly don't need this kid.
As for Mook, Enos DID turn down the Bama job AND the Georgia OC job. A beat reporter for the Tide said so on WQAM, which I've linked to below.
After Enos announced he was heading to Miami, Georgia immediately promoted James Coley to OC and nobody with an ounce of sense thinks that's a good hire.
We'll see if Manny has done something or not.

I think we're entering an 'almost Free Agency' like element for CFB.

Another ast coach leaves Bama tonight, and I have heard Kool may be on the outs as well.
As a poster below explains, Bama wanted to retain Enos
Bogle may be flipping to UM now

Wow Mook, for someone to take such a strong confident stance and to swing and miss on this is pretty brutal. Bruce Feldman's Athletic story he just published where Enos was already given the OC position in Alabama, worth reading. Next time probably shouldn't go so hard on a topic you are not up to date on.

Miami now is heavy in on DE Trevon Hill from VT who would be a huge pickup and DT Nnoruka from UCLA
More importantly Miami may now be in on Jaelan Phillips, who was the NUMBER ONE overall recruit in the country two years ago. Mook will probably say none of this is true though.
