NFT: Orlando Trip

HeftyLefty : 1/16/2019 3:25 pm
Thinking of making a trip down to Orlando for 3 days or so, haven't been since a little kid, would be with friends that are in late 20s, thoughts on where to stay and how to divide time between Disney parks and Universal parks?
A group that age

I’d drink around the world at Epcot and spend rest of trip at universal.
I live in Cocoa Beach and work in Orlando

They have great golf courses here if that's something to occupy during the day.

Not well versed with the drinking scene at the parks but I work near UCF at Waterford Lakes and let me tell you...the women there are smoking hot.

So, if you're looking for that, I would do the drinking downtown or Waterford Lakes area.
Disney is for the very young

Sure there's Epcot but Universal is good for all ages. If you want to play some golf Grand Cypress is nearby the theme parks. Great place.
And if you want a good Italian spot

Vincenzo Cucina Italiana 8255 International Dr suite 112, Orlando, FL 32819 is excellent.
I always stop at top golf when I'm down there

Is the best of all the parks, especially for your age.
IMO i wouldn't even do Disney

Maybe Epcot, but def not Magical kingdom. Im glad my kids outgrew that.

We just did Universal and Islands of Adventure in Dec. 1st time for the kids and they loved it. And we all agree Islands is the best of them all.

You can get a 2 day pass for Univ and Islands or get 1 day to go to both. But the latter is about same $ as getting 2 day for both (you just can't go back n forth).

If you like roller coasters, The Hulk is pretty intense. Some cool Harry Potter themed stuff even if you're not into HP.
If your group is into animals

The only reason to pay a Kings randsom is for your kids. Lines are horrible and there aren't many adult or even young teenager rides
