So I bought my first home last year and just yesterday I noticed that a young maple tree has a small pole ziptied to it for support, or at least I would assume it's young based on its size. It's probably like 8ft tall and really skinny, diameter still small enough for me to grab it completely in one hand, not much more than a thick rake handle or something. The previous owners died and the agent doesn't have any idea when the tree was planted so I can't be 100% positive how long it's been there.
Any idea how long that is supposed to stay like that? Looked around the internet a bit, couldn't find much. Besides, isn't BBI everyone's source for all kinds of life advice?
Hahaha..oh, that much I know....the house backs up to a cemetary on one side and a wooded area on the other....the Maple is the only tree in my yard and it's too young to do much damage but the recreation area.....yikes!
And trees are not your enemy, they help your lawn, the environment and other aspects of your home with the shade they eventually provide.
remove only if a nuisance.
I pine for the days of yore with open fields and lots of sheep.
But, seriously, maples are a pain. It's near graves? Remove it stat. Roots and all please. Thank you-
