...just for fun I looked at the recent Ourlads' Top 33 Ranked players and compared with recent list from GBN Draft Report.
I have tremendous respect for both services and it shouldn't come as too big a surprise that they are in close agreement on numerous top college prospects.
For example, 4 (out of Ourlads' Top 33 prospects) have the exact same rank as GBN. And another 14 are within five ranked slots.
What may be of some interest down the road is where there are signficiant divergences between the two. A few examples:
Ed Oliver (DT; Houston)
19 Ourlads' Rank
3 GBN
Jaquan Johnson (FS; Miami)
27 Ourlads' Rank
88 GBN
Deebo Samuel (WR; South Carolina)
25 Ourlads' Rank
73 GBN
Michael Deiter (C/G; Wisconsin)
31 Ourlads' Rank
71 GBN
Devin Bush (OLB; Michigan)
16 Ourlads' Rank
36 GBN
Will be interesting to see how these rankings change as we get closer to the Draft.
Another thing, there are what, 4000 eligible young players and only 300 at the combine?
One drags a wide net prior to or you are simply handing your decision to others.
Not sure were Ourlad has him, but GBDR has him #8.
Wilkins? Haskins?
CBS has taken a huge nosedive since Brugler and Reuter left. The new guy, Trapasso, sucks.

Agree. Used to be good. Terrible now.

Brugler is with the Atlantic and on many podcasts, including his own. Reuter, I think, does NFL Draft Scout.
Why are you yelling?
Example: Tom Coughlin knows more about football than any darn encyclopedia, yet he couldn't figure out how to make Reuben Randle into anything above "meh". TC insisted Randle had the skill set (and I believe TC), Reese extolled RR as a "steal" at the bottom of round 2, yet no one knew his mental make up just wasn't suited to excel in the NFL. How do you judge heart? Reese was just terrible at this by and large, and it seemed the entire Giants scouting staff just lost this ability, to judge heart, under the Reese and Ross regime. Do I even need to list the examples?
Second is that these lists have different priorities whether admitted or not. The biggest split is evaluators' trying to assess actual talent and extrapolation to NFL level success, and those who are simply tring to guess who are the 100 guys first taken, which is factoring team needs. I think the Huddle Report actually does both types of lists: 100 or more best players suited to NFL success, AND first 100 guys off the Board, which they are usually very good at. The latter list is obviously reading tea leaves among NFL front offices and scouts and even college sources, the former should be based mostly on tape and interviews, at least among the guys who actually have access to the players.

To not in the first. Conclusion: most don't know jack shit.
Wilkins? Haskins?
Yes to Wilkins. My bad.
If anything, the industry chases each other's leads.
Remember, combine is less than 10 percent of eligible kids
