He's a good dude.
Good luck, but woof.

His highs are very high, while his lows are historically bad.
Wow.
mattlawson : 1/24/2019 7:18 pm : link
Good for him. Super Bowl or bust for them
Spags

They pick 29. That's probably a pass rusher or a cover corner?
Seemed like a really great guy

If i am KC I would spend all of my picks on defense. Their offense is set
Always liked the guy.

He coached a pair of pretty good D's here when he had talent to work with. And I consider him largely responsible for McAgoof's one winning season.

Good for Spags - glad he's got a new gig. He was always a mixed bag as a DC. When he had the horses, he was able to field some really awesome defenses.

But he also fielded some horrendous ones - including a couple here.

I like Bettcher and think when he's got a couple guys who can actually rush the passer, this defense will work much better.
We all like Spags.

It'll be interesting to see how he does under Andy Reid. He did great with TC (at the height of TC's powers), badly with Sean Payton, mixed results with McAdoo. Hard to tell what kind of environment suits Spags.
Seems like they both are on the Philly tree

Their secondary was the worst in football. A full year of Eric Berry and drafting a Byron Murphy would go a long way.

Their DL lead the league in sacks and Chris Jones has developed into the Aaron Donald of the AFC that no one talks about. But they still need to resign Dee Ford (yeah the lined up offsides fool) he's a budding talent that peaked at the right time registering 13.5 sacks this year

With the veteran leadership of Berry and Justin Houston Spags has A Lot to work with here. Good for him

He was with Reid in Philly as the linebacker coach.
Love spags

Best of luck to him
wow
giantfan2000 : 1/24/2019 9:10 pm : link
congrats Spags

look with Mahomes and high scoring offense
Spags doesn't need a shutdown defense it can be more aggressive and opportunistic
Really like Spags ....
Manny in CA : 1/24/2019 9:16 pm : link

When he has the players, he doesn't waste them -period.

There's a ton of DCs that can't be said of.
That’s great news
Hammer : 1/24/2019 9:29 pm : link
Good luck to Spags.
Good luck Spags
mrvax : 1/24/2019 10:40 pm : link
you've got a lot of work to do.
I am happy for
St. Jimmy : 1/24/2019 10:47 pm : link
Spags to get another DC job. I can't root for Reid though.
Jim Johnson connection
Vanzetti : 1/24/2019 10:58 pm : link
Slags claims he used two signal callers with Giantsin SB because he knew Patriots had stole their signals when he was with Eagles in SB
Spags would have done
prdave73 : 1/24/2019 11:43 pm : link
a way better job then KC's ex DC that's for sure..
Pretty
King Quis : 1/25/2019 12:50 am : link
Quick pick up
I'm glad for Spags
ZogZerg : 1/25/2019 6:18 am : link
he is a good guy. I hope he does well.
Good for him, but I think it's an underwhelming
SFGFNCGiantsFan : 1/25/2019 7:23 am : link
hire.
over/under on years he lasts?
Dan in the Springs : 1/25/2019 9:05 am : link
I'll set it at 3.5 and take the under. Mostly because the offense will always be prolific and the defense will always be blamed if they don't win a SB. And that will be hard to do with NE in conference.
That's good..
FatMan in Charlotte : 1/25/2019 9:08 am : link
news for Spags, but he could probably duplicate that same result next year.

He's presided over 3 of the worst defenses historically in the NFL.

Love the guy, but I wonder if KC has a good enough secondary and pass rushers to run his scheme.
GOTTA LOVE...
jonnyess : 1/25/2019 9:43 am : link
THE SPAGS!!
Good for him
PatersonPlank : 1/25/2019 9:45 am : link
See, nice guys do finish squarely in the middle
Spags is a good coach
Essex : 1/25/2019 9:48 am : link
he often gets asked to do the impossible as he was asked to do in NO and STL. I hope that does not happen in KC, but I am happy for him that he got another job.
