but I spent last week at a conference in Vegas with 4,000 people in conference rooms (or drinking) for 5 days, 14 hours on planes, and 4 hours in airports. All germ factories.

then over the weekend coached 3 hockey games, coached 2 practices this week and played my own game at 11pm on Tuesday night.

I now have a chest cold and sore throat. My customer told me today on a conference call today my voice sounded like a hoarse fred flintstone.

LOL.

luckily no other symptoms......yet.

But people all around me have had it. I feel like it’s this years version of the flu and hopefully my flu shot will prevent it.

Just called out sick for two days. Feel like my head is going to explode. Bed time.

for over 2 weeks. At no point has it been totally devastating, but this bug is tricky as fuckkkk. It started as a chest/cough thing, moved it's way up to head/sinus/ears, pulled a sharp u-turn into a brief stomach bug, and now is back to cough/chest.

each time we think we're 90% better, we get pulled back under. Frustrating as shit.

who can take off when they're sick but decide to bring that shit in with them to the office anyway. Where I work we're all able to go remote, especially when you're sick. Two weeks ago I was there, one asshole was riddled with some sort of virus, and just about everyone in the room except for me came down with it right after. Not sure if it was my flu shot that saved the day, or the fact that I must have washed my hands 25 times during the course of that 2 hour meeting.

I know this is anecdotal, but washing your hands is such a key. My wife had the flu (she had gotten her flu shot as had all of us), my older son strep throat and a stomach virus, and my youngest son had an ear infection over the last three weeks. I have literally washed my hands after every interaction with them during that time and while my hands are as dry as they can be, I have been so lucky. The doctors kept telling us to wash our hands and I really cannot stress enough that I think that is the best advice you can get in the winter. Don't become OCD about it, but make sure you wash your hands a ton.

Already cancelled don't want to infect them. Probably wouldn't enjoy it anyway the way I feel and it's single digit temps here in NE

Felt it start Sat PM. Sunday and Monday, runny nose, cough, crappy feeling. Usual head cold symptoms. Did not really get to chest.

Wednesday gone! I'm either two days or 7 to 10.

the entire fucking month. Same stuff, sore throat, achy, coughing. Thankfully I mostly work from home so Been able to take it easy but I'm tired of it!

same way about people coming into work hacking like a truck driver. It isn't noble or brave. It is a really shitty thing to do.

I had a former boss who prided himself on never missing a day of work. He'd show up even if he looked like death warmed over. I actually called in for one of his meetings even though I was in the building so I didn't get too close.

You can't get through to some people like that.

my hands. It dries out my skin, but I usually apply some lotion so it doesn't get that bad when it starts to crack & bleed. But yes, washing your hands is key. Also, exercise. It really does boost your immune system.

I was there all last week. Started Sunday with a metallic taste at dinner time. Woke up with right side of tongue irritated and an irritated throat. Didn't do anything. By Weds. I couldn't even swallow my saliva without great pain. I wasn't hungry as I knew I couldn't swallow, but after 3 days without food, a single scrambled egg on Saturday was delicious. Doc put me on the Z-Pack on Thursday. A week later, and I'm still not right.

And take immune FX daily. I can’t prove that immune fx is working but the netipot fucking works like nothing else. I used to get sick all the time once my daughter started going to day care. Those places are fucking Petri dish. I started the netipot about 3 years ago. It’s made a dramatic difference. Immune fx has only helped. Just my advice every little bit helps. Feel better

Sorry to hear this. If anyone is exposed to someone who is obviously sick and you cannot get away, get to a CVS or similar ASAP. Look for those prevent sick chewables that are loaded with vitamin C and other stuff. They do work if you consume it early enough.

I have two bottles of Airborne and I've been Vitamin C loading since yesterday.

I blame this all on that fat bitch who probably got a bunch of us sick. Selfish c*nt.

Well, I hope the amoxicillin helps. What a great game that was. I think Zucc may be the best passer I've ever seen.

That lasted a week and a half. Finally got over that one, then picked up something in Orlando last week when I was down there on business. Thankfully this one seems to be a lot milder and faster to clear. Hang in there!

Kids are in their rooms and my wife is in one of our guest rooms. She made me soup, fettuccine and chicken marsala from scratch tonight. I'm full of drugs and food. I'm about to nyquil up. I'm watching my boy Altman on Million Dollar Listing. Being sick sucks. :) ):

sore throat for over two weeks, which is really weird. Just as I thought I was getting better, it got worse again. Now this week it got even more severe, the reverse of what usually happens. I've got congestion, aches, cough, etc. There are some weird lingering viruses going around this year.

Advil Cold & Sinus has at least help me sleep a little better. Get well!

No clicking noise. Just pain. But my son had the same thing and he had the clicking.

the worst part is i recently got a dental implant with a sinus lift. Which means, i cant blow my nose.

fucking sucks. Feels like post nasal drip.

Feeling slightly better. Now the cough is back and sinuses are completely stuffed. Achy but moving.

Stripped the sheets of our need, sprayed down the mattress with lysol. Miserable. And I hardly ever get sick.

and I heard I got off lucky. Some people get it again and again. I know one guy whose wife went through the Z-Pak cycle 3 times. It took a month or so
