How about Brian Kelly leaving Cincy after speaking to the team a week prior, telling them he loves them, his family loves Cincy and he wasn't interested in the ND job?
...They had to play a UF team coming off the upset loss to Alabama in the SEC championship game. Tebow's last game. They got steamrolled.

a few years ago from a college football “insider” that the Giants liked Kelly a lot but it doesn’t seem like he was ever a serious candidate. This guy might have been guessing bc Kelly is a relatively successful college HC with an Irish last name.
