As we’ve gotten closer and closer to the game, I’m starting to lean Rams and I’ve been Pats the whole way until now. I just feel like the Rams have been quietly lurking in the shadows of most of the press these 2 weeks. One bad call is overshadowing how good this team really is. I also think Donald and Suh are gonna be very tough on Brady where he’s vulnerable. Up the middle. I think this is gonna be lower scoring than people are expecting.
I think the boy wonder coach will show well, maybe even win. But the GOATs are hungry and I don’t think Goff is great. I’m taking the Pats in a close win, 24 to 23.
- Chris Simms noted that the Rams defense didn't substitute all that much in New Orleans
- The Rams' run defense was ranked 29th in DVOA this season
- the Pats led the league in plays run out of 21 personnel; the Rams have only faced about a dozen plays all season in this set
- the Pats only had 19 runs for negative yardage all season
- the Rams are one of the worst offenses in the league on four point plays (third downs in the red zone)
- the Pats are the heaviest team in the league
- the Rams are the lightest team in the league
I could see the Rams defense being completely work down for the fourth quarter. I think they need Donald and Suh to destroy this game in the first half. I don't think Belichick let's that happen.
The Rams have the defensive line to pressure Brady. If they just make a token attempt without a strong pass rush, Brady will have a field day. I'm tired of seeing Brady with a clean pocket and no pressure. Go after the guy!
Sadly, I think it's Pats easily. I don't think I have ever seen them more determined. They have totally bought into the idea that they are underdogs and have been disrespected all year.
But my head says Pats. If Suh and Donald can replicate Strahan and Tuck, the Rams have a shot. Phillips is a good DC bit BB is a genius. If nothing else I hope I am still watching in the 4th quarter.
I see their offense more consistently scoring against the Rams defense. Although not great, the Patriots defense will get more stops against the Rams offense, which can make big plays, but is less consistent.
Turnovers or a big play on special teams might tip it to the Rams, but if we assume no turnover differential and no big returns, I like the Patriots.
Rams 23 - Pats 20

Pats 34-23
Rams by 3
Pats 27
Suh/Donald vs Pats interior line(this is really the game)
I'll take BB and Brady to school McVay and Goff.
Patriots 38
Rams 20
(and not that close)
you are really reaching to think region bias had anything to do with that missed PI. Incompetence supersedes all!
However, there is almost certainty to be Patriots/Brady bias.....(BBI)
Rams 13
Pats will shut down Rams O.
I hope I'm wrong.
The key is punching Brady in the mouth. If you can't get in his face, say good night. Game over.
Then they lose.
I'll take the Rams, McVay will be willing to to the unusual to win and not sit back on the Pats - which is what most teams do versus them.
In 8 Super Bowls, the Patriots have scored a total of 3 points in the first quarter. They've also given up a safety in the first quarter.
24-20 Patriots I'd figure. However if the Rams win I think it will be in a blowout

The Patriots have never won a Super Bowl by a touchdown or more, but this is the one that they earn a blowout victory? Sorry, I'm not buying it.
